- Martin W "Bob" Mabie, 78, of the Care Center of Lopatcong, Lopatcong Township, NJ, formerly of Ellis Road, Milford R 3, NJ and Phillipsburg, died Sunday in Warren Hospital. He was the husband of Mary I (Frey) Mabie, who died in 1981.
He was a loader and truck driver for EB Libe Co, Phillipsburg, for 30 years until retiring in 1974.
Born in Phillipsburg he was a son of the lete Fred and Rose (Drake) Mabie.
Surviving are a daughter, Pat Slaven of Riegel Ridge, NJ, a brother Warren of Rosedale Heights, Lopatcong Township, and two sisters, Hhellen Collinge of Lopatcong Township and Thelma Carpenter of Phillipsburg.
Services will be Wednesday in the Rupell Funeral Home, Phillipsburg.

- Pauline Pat Slaven, 81, of Milford, NJ, passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2011 at Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington, NJ. Born: She was born in Phillipsburg, NJ on January 27, 1930 and was the daughter of the late Martin and Mary Frey Mabie. Personal: She had worked in the Accounting Department of Ingersoll-Rand, Phillipsburg, NJ. She was a 1947 graduate of Phillipsburg High School, and enjoyed sports and shopping. She loved her 2 poodles. Memberships: Pat was a member of Fellowship Church in Morris Park, Lopatcong Twsp, NJ. Survivors: Pat was survived by her husband of 54 years, William R. Slaven; her brother-in-law, Edison McNally of Phillipsburg; a niece, Carol Lynn Anderson and her 3 children, Ashley, Patrick and Christine, all of Florida. Services: Services will be held on Friday, September 30, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Rupell Funeral Home; 465 Memorial Parkway; Phillipsburg, NJ 08865. A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2011 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Fairmount Cemetery, Phillipsburg, NJ.
