  	Clara Elizabeth (Mabee) Hobgood June 12, 1910 –. Passed away peacefully in her sleep, in her 102nd year at Cedarwood Village, Simcoe. She was a lifelong resident of Langton. Daughter of the late Blanche & Aquilla Mabee. Wife of the late Eugene (Hop) Hobgood, (Feb. 14, 1974). Loving mother of her daughter Blanche (Lew) Boughner, and son Bernie (Lesley) Hobgood. Proud grandmother of Gary (Liz) Boughner, Loree (Rick) VanDeMaele, Kathy (Tom) Stanley, David (Renee) Boughner, Michael (Julie) Hobgood, Christopher (Laura) Hobgood & Jamie (Josie) Hobgood. Great-grandmother to 16 great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. Clara was part of a five generation family. Predeceased by brother Leo (Mabel) Mabee & Wallace (Esther) Mabee, also sister-in-law Billie (Jack) Allan. Clara was the pianist & organist for many years at the Langton Baptist Church. She was a Life Member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Long Point Chapter #166. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Verhoeve Funeral Home, Langton. Visitation Tuesday, January 10th, 2012, 1:00-2:00 p.m. prior to service at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Keith Sutherland officiating. Interment to follow at Tillsonburg Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations (by cheque) through the Verhoeve Funeral Home, Langton (519)875-4464, to Langton Baptist Church or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

  	Blanche (Hobgood)Boughner - Our family is sad to announce the passing of a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother after a courageous battle with cancer, Blanche's big wonderful heart was unable to endure the ravages of this dreaded disease any longer. Blanche passed away at home surrounded by her loving family, on Saturday, April 27th. 2013, in her 76th year. Daughter of Eugene (Hop) Hobgood and Clara (Mabee) Hobgood. Wife for 57 years of Lewis Boughner. Loving mother of Gary (Liz) Boughner; Loree (Rick) Vandemaele; Kathy (Tom) Stanley; David (Renee) Boughner. Grandma to nine grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Also survived by brother Bernie (Lesley) Hobgood; cousin Janet (George) Forsyth; sisters-in-law Frances Prychitka and Doreen Boughner; and several nieces and nephews. Blanche was predeceased by much loved father and mother-in-law Harold and Doy Boughner, aunts and uncles; Wallace and Esther Mabee; Leo and Mabel Mabee; Billie and Jack Allan, and by brothers and sisters-in-law Jack Boughner; William Prychitka; John and Alice Coldham; Marvin and Eilene Edwards; Lawrence and Dorothy Ferguson and MaryBeth Clark. In respect of Blanche's wishes there will be no visitation and a Private Family Service at Verhoeve Funeral Home Langton , on Wednesday, May 1st, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Keith Sutherland officiating. Interment to follow in the family plot at Langton Baptist Cemetery. Donations in memory of Blanche, payable by cheque, to Langton Baptist Church or Charity of your choice will be greatly appreciated by the family.
