March 10. 1983 at Clifton Springs Hospital Mr. Shelter was born on June 9. 1907 in Port Byron and was a lifelong resident of the area. He had worked 40 years as a foreman for the Allied Chemical Co. in Solvay. He was a member of the Lake Como Senior Citi- zens. He leaves his wife. Kathryn: two sons. James of Mass. and John of Baltimore. Md.. four daughters, Elizabeth Shetler of Port Byron. Mrs Jerry (Janice) Woods of Fairmont. N.Y., Mrs Richard (Maureen) Nielens of Port Byron and Mrs Ronald (Kathleen) Shetler-Globus of Washington. D.C ; fifteen grandchildren and one great grandchild. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday. March 14. 1983. at 9:30 a.m. at St. John's Church Port Byron with the Bernard V. Kuchman officiating In- terment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Fleming. Friends are invited to call on Saturday, March 12, 1983, from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Sunday. March 13.1983 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Audioun Funeral Home. 234 North Main Street, Port Byron. Contributions may be made to the Port Byron Ambulance Fund or to the American Cancer Society in Mr. Shetler's memory
