  	Eleanor I. Moon age 81 of Prairie du Chien passed away Mon., Dec. 4, 2006 at the Prairie du Chien Memorial Hospital. She was born June 15, 1925 in Buena Vista, IA, daughter of Ernie and Lillie (Maybee) Martin. She married Elmer Moon on Apr. 9, 1949 in Prairie du Chien, WI. She worked at National Decorated Metals, Burgess Cellulose and later for 3M Company in Prairie du Chien. She was a member of the VFW and American Legion Auxiliary and the Royal Neighbors. Eleanor brought endless joy and happiness to all that knew her throughout her life. She was a ray of sunshine, full of energy and was a lady of many interests and talents. She is survived by her husband and best friend of over 57 years, Elmer Moon of Prairie du Chien, a son Ernie (Gloria) Moon of Willow Springs, IL, a daughter Carol (Ken) Osmer of Cottage Grove, WI, 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren, 2 sisters; Darlene Kapinus and Hazel Lechnir both of Prairie du Chien, a brother Basil (Carla) Martin of LaCrosse, WI, many nieces and nephews and countless friends. Funeral services will be Fri., Dec. 8, 2006 at 10:00 AM at the Garrity Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Paul Graham officiating, with burial in the Evergreen Cemetery both in Prairie du Chien, WI. Friends may call on Thurs., Dec. 7, 2006 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home where there will be an American Legion Auxiliary tribute at 4:30 PM and one hour prior to services on Fri., Dec. 8, 2006 at the funeral home.
