  	There is a fascinating story about Ray, who was kidnapped from his home in Marengo Iowa at the age of about 3, in about 1892. He was located several years later and a trial was held to determine whose child he was. The court ruled in favor of Ann and George and the case became a foundational case for the child custody laws of the state of Iowa. However, there were still those who doubted that the boy Ray of the trial was truly the boy kidnapped. So in the early 21st century, a DNA test was conducted of Ray's son who was still living at that time and Robert Elliott (son of Ann/George's son Earl Elliott, which confirmed that Ray was truly Ann's boy. Following the trial, a book was written, "Lost and Found" by a Reverend Phillips that documented the entire ordeal.
