  Anecdote	Louisa had several brothers in McHenry County that arrived in the Early 1840's from Finger Lakes area of New York. My [Matthew Waack's] 3rd great grandfather, Edmund Tappan Howe, was her brother and married Sarah Botsford in Castile, Wyoming, New York. Louisa and Edmund T. Howe's parents were Phineas Howe b 15 Dec 1771 in Hopkinton, Merrimack, New Hampshire, USA and Gemima Brown . Phineas Howe, a Lawyer, the son of son of Rev. Soldier Jotham Howe, was last listed in 1840 US Census in St Morris, Livingston, New York, USA (It is likely his children all migrated to Illinois around the same time.
