  	Arthur L. Buchanan, 65, of Vley Road, Scotia RD 4, father of Kenneth D. Buchanan of Perth, died suddenly yesterday while shopping in Gloversville. Mr. Buchanan was born in Schenectady and had been employed in the maintenance department at the General Electric Co. for many years, retiring recently. He was a member the Glenville Center Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Edna May Mabee Buchanan; two other sons, Harold A, and William A., Scotia, and 10 grandchildren. Services will be held 2 p.m. Friday at the Mabee and Berning Funeral Home, Scotia, with the Rev. Orrin F. Ireson officiating. Burial will be in Park Cemetery, Scotia. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Thursday

  	Arthur L. Buchanan and Edna M. Mabee were united in marriage Saturday morning at 10 o'clock, at the parsonage, by the Rev. William Dumont. After the ceremony, a wedding dinner was served at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Eben Buchanan. Later Mr. and Mrs. Buchanan left amid a shower of rice and confetti, with good wishes of relatives and other friends, by motor, for a trip in the Adirondacks.
