- Funeral services for Earl L Mason, 88, Ogdensburg at Fox & Murray Funeral Home. Burial at Hillcrest Cemetery in Heuvelton. Mr. Mason died at his home Jul. 25, 2016. Surviving is his wife Donna; two daughters from his previous marrage, Karen Lalonde and husband David of Massena and Cynthia King of Canton; a sister Betty Hardy of Canton; a brother Charles Mason and Sally of Syracuse; 4 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren. His first wife Shirley Kerr; and a brother Webster Mason predeceased him.
Earl was born on May 5, 1928 in Antwerp, son of Roy & Myrtle Maybee Mason. He attended schools in Antwerp and DeKalb and later married Donna Flight on Aug. 14, 1961. He worked as a farm hand in Old DeKalb; and at Raymond Geary Chevrolet; at Acco Brands and Diamond International; at SLU in the ice arena.

- Roy John Mason, 78, of 56 Riverside drive, Canton, a retired farmer, died early this morning at his home. He had been ill several years. The funeral will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. at Gardner funeral home with Rev. Calvin F. Zimmer, pastor of the Canton Methodist church, officiating. Burial will be in Hillside cemetery, Antwerp. Mr. Mason is survived by his wife, Mrs. Myrtle Maybee Mason; four sons, Albert, Canton, Webster, Potsdam, Earl, Ogdensburg, and Charles, Syracuse; two daughters, Mrs. Walter (Aza) Allen, Chaumont, and Mrs. Louis (Betty) Hardy, Canton; a sister, Mrs. Mabel Bacon, DeKalb Junction; a brother, Ernest of Gouverneur, ten grandchildren, and a greatgrandchild. He was born in Antwerp. Aug. 29, 1889, son of Bion and Anna Smith Mason, and married Myrtle Maybee in Antwerp Dec. 27, 1911. In 1941 the couple moved from their farm in Antwerp to a farm on the DeKalb road in Canton. He was a member of Antwerp Congregational church, and a former grange member
