- John Mabie, 64, owner of the Mabie Press in Goshen, died Monday at Arden Hill Hospital. A Goshen resident since 1935, he lived at 10 New Street in the village.
Born in Guttenberg, NJ, on Oct 5, 1909+, he was the son of John and Lydia Everett Mabie. He was married to the former Mildred Boehringer.
Mr Mabie, a World War II veteran, was a member of the Goshen American Legion Post No. 377 and Middletown Lodge of Elks No. 1097. He was also a member of several coin organizations. Survivors include his wife; one son, Warren of Goshen; one daughter, Mrs Carole Wilson of Middletown; two grandchildren; two brothers, Arthur of Teaneck, NJ, and Fred of Goshen; and two sisters Mrs Ella Bellobouno of West New York, NJ, and Mrs Harriet Flaak of Little Falls, NJ.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Donovan Funeral Home, with the Rev Douglas M. Glasspool officiating. Burial will be in Wallkill Cemetery, Middletown

- Dorothy M. Mabie passed away on April 8, 2006 at Schervier Pavilion, Warwick, N.Y. She was 91 years old. Daughter of the late Charles and Dorothea Bowman Boehringer, she was born January 3, 1915 in the Bronx, N.Y. Dorothy married Fred "Chubby" Mabie on February 14, 1934. He predeceased her on September 20, 1977. She had been a Title Searcher for Hardenburgh Abstract Co. for many years. Dorothy is survived by her sister, Mildred H. Mabie of Middletown; niece, Carole J. Boyd of Middletown; nephew, Warren C. Mabie of Goshen; two great-nieces, Renee J. Wilson of Middletown and Annette H. Wyss and her husband, Herman, and their children, Nicholas and Kasey of Eldred, N.Y.; a cousin, Herbert C. Bowman of Goshen; and several other nieces and cousins. She is also survived by her loyal friend, Mildred Carr of Goshen. Visitation will be held at the Donovan Funeral Home, 82 South Church St., Goshen, N.Y. from 5-8 p.m. on Monday, April 10, 2006. Graveside services will be at the Wallkill Cemetery, Middletown, N.Y. at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 11, 2006. Memorial contributions in Dorothy's name may be made to a charity of one's choice. - Mildred H. Mabie, a longtime area resident, died following a long illness at home on December 20, 2014 with her loving family at her side. She was 92.
The daughter of the late Charles and Dorothea Bowman Boehringer, she was born on September 17, 1922 in Bronx, NY. She married John Mabie in 1941. For many years, she worked alongside her husband in their family business, Mabie Press in Goshen. Mildred was a longtime member of the Goshen Business and Professional Women's Club. She was predeceased by her husband John in 1973.
Mildred will be remembered as an all-around lovely person who was loyal and non-judgmental. She was an inspiration to her granddaughters and known as GG or Double G to her great-grandchildren. She will be forever loved.
Mildred is survived by her loving daughter, Carole Boyd at home; and son, Warren Mabie and his wife, Jill of Livingston, MT; granddaughters: Renee Wilson of Middletown and Annette Wyss and her husband, Herman of Eldred, NY and their children, Nicholas, Kasey and Andrew; and a cousin, Herbert C. Bowman of Goshen.
In addition to her husband, Mildred was predeceased by her sister, Dorothy, and her husband, Fred "Chubby" Mabie (yes, sisters married brothers!).
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, December 26, 2014 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc, 130 Highland Ave, Middletown, NY. A Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at the funeral home, burial will follow in the family plot in Wallkill Cemetery.
Because of her love for animals, memorial contributions in Mildred's name may be made to either the ASPCA or the Humane Society of Middletown, Bloomingburg Road, Middletown, NY 10940.
