  	Homer J Boyd Jr, a resident of the area since 1972, died Sunday, November 23, 2003 at Westchester Medical Center, Valhalla. He was 59 The son of the late Homer J Boyd Sr and Anna Page Boyd, he was born March 22, 1944 in Manhattan. Homer married Carole Mabie on Jun 8, 1986 in Middletown, celebrating 17 years of marriage. A family statement reads: "Homer was a giving, caring and loving person. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and family. Although he is no longer with us his memory will remain in our hearts. He will be sadly missed by all who had the opportunity to know him." Homer was a dedicated child care worker. He devoted much of his time to helping young adults over come life's many hardships as he was employed through the NY State Division for Youth and as a counselor with Riverside House, Huguenot. He was a member of the Mature Males of Middletown and had received an award for the contributions he made to this organization. Besides his wife Carole, Homer is survived by two stepdaughters, Annette Wyss of Eldred and Renee Wilson Ford of Middletown, two beloved grandchildren, Nicholas and Kasey Wynn, one brother, David Harmon of Manhattan; as well as two cousins, Mildred and Curtis Williams of Queens.
