- Formerly of this area, Cynthia Madden Brundrett, 62, of Alpena, Ark., departed from this life on April 21, 2010.
A celebration of life was held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 26, at Green Forest United Methodist Church, Green Forest, Ark.
Cindy was born July 3, 1947, the daughter of Jack Waldo Madden and Lottie Juanita Maybee Madden in Rock Island. She attended Rock Island High School and Black Hawk Community College.
Cindy had worked at Tindell's Grocery in Sherrard and Wayne's Super Valu in Cambridge.
Cindy married Donald Fulscher on Jan. 24, 1964, and the family moved to rural Sherrard in 1970. Cindy and Don had three children.
On April 12, 1992, Cindy married Jim "Slim" Brundrett.
In 1999, Cindy and Jim moved to Alpena, where her family lived. Cindy enjoyed being a Sunday school teacher at the Green Forest Methodist Church and had been employed as a respite caregiver for a number of people in the local community, until the time of her illness.
Cindy was preceded in death by a sister, Lynn Anne Hopper, Alpena; and her father, Jack Madden, Moline.
She is survived by her mother, Lottie Maybee Becker; a daughter, Margaret (Randy) Stockwell, Matherville; sons, Donald (Michelle) Fulscher, Moline, and Jack (Traci) Fulscher, Rock Island. Both husbands survived Cindy. Cindy had 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and a large extended family.
