- Paul E. Schreiner, 68, Kokomo, Ind., died at 12:35 p.m., Tuesday, March 14, 1995 at Howard Community Hospital in Kokomo.
Born July 8, 1926 in Rush County, Ind., he was the son of Edward J. and Ruth F. (Mabee) Schreiner. He married Anna M. Sylvia in Greensburg on Jan. 31, 1951, and she survives.
He was manager of Environmental Engineering at Continental Steel Corp. for 34 years. He also worked five years in the Engineering Department at Chrysler Corp., retiring in 1993 and was a private consultant in the Environmental Engineering field. He was a 1951 graduate of Purdue University in Civil Engineering. He served in World War II with the Army Air Corps. He was a member of the St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Kokomo, John Purdue Club, Elks B.P.O.E. Lodge 190, Moose Lodge 179, American Legion Post 6, Kokomo Engineering Society, the Iron and Steel Institute, and was active with Junior Achievement.
He is survived by his wife; one step-son, Gerald Boling of Falls Church, Va.; four brothers, John Schreiner of Shelbyville; Frank (Dorothy) Schreiner of Greensburg, Donald (Kathy) Schreiner of Indianapolis, and James (Myrtle) Schreiner of Fountaintown, Ind.; four sisters, Marie (Robert) Herbert of Greensburg, Lucille Youngman of Napoleon, Ind., Elizabeth (Henry) Sandhage of Columbus, Ind., and Joan (Dennis) Tebbe of Madison, Ind.; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday at the St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Kokomo with the Rev. David E. Hellmann officiating. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., Friday at the church. Arrangements are being handled by the Sunset Memory Gardens Funeral Home in Kokomo.
