Beloved mother of Clayton (Michelle) Seneca Jr. and the late Guy Bennett; grandmother of Emily and Allison; great-grandmother of Guy; sister of Romayne Watt, Marjorie Gonzalez, James Maybee, Armand Maybee, Rebecca Schosek and John Maybee; daughter of the late Arthur and Maxine Maybee; also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends; best friend of Renee. Friends may call Monday from 2-4 PM at the Wentland Funeral Home, 10634 Main Street (Rt. 62), North Collins, NY where funeral services will take place at 4PM. Flowers gratefully declined. Beloved husband of the late Gloria Jean (Scott) Maybee; cherished father of Sarah, Daniel (Heidi), Lydia and Nathan (Alecia) Maybee; grandfather of Eliese, Madeline, Aquinnah, Vivian, Cordelia and Violet; brother of Romayne (David) Watt, Marjorie Ann Gonzalez, James Allen (Cindy) Maybee, Rebecca (Larry) Schosek, John (Elizabeth) Maybee and the late Joanne William. Born in Gowanda into the Turtle Clan July 16, 1941 the daughter of Arthur and Maxine (Clark) Maybee. Marjorie worked at the former Tri-County Memorial Hospital Gowanda in food service prior to the hospital closing in 2009. Survivors include 4 daughters; Linda Musante of Silver Creek, Monica (Michael) Fellenz of Irving, Cristina ( Feisal) Fontanez of San Francisco, Ca., and Elaine Fontanez of Buffalo. 2 sons ; Milton (Michelle) Maybee of Hyde Park, NY and Michael ( Lori) Gonzalez of Gowanda . Grandchildren; Melvin, Marie, Melissa, Paige, Sofia, David, Taylor, Charlie, Simon, Whitney, Jalisa, and Brianna along with 14 great grandchildren. Marjorie’s siblings ; James Maybee of Virginia Beach, Va., John ( Beth) Maybee of Gowanda, Romayne (David) Watt of Seattle, Wa. ,and Rebecca (Larry) Schosek of Gowanda. Besides her parents Marjorie was preceded in death by a son Charles Gonzalez, a brother ;Armond Maybee and a sister Joanne Williams . A graveside service will be held Friday October 13, 2023 11:00 am at the Seneca Nation of Indians Community Cemetery Rte. 438. A funeral luncheon to follow at the Cattaraugus Indian Reservation Fire Hall immediately following service. Arrangements by the SCHINDLER FUNERAL HOME 44 Center St. Gowanda.
