- George Glen Thompson, age 55, of 304 15th St, Fairfield Highlands, passed away Tuesday pm. Survived by his wife, Mrs Myrtle Thompson; 1 daughter, Mrs James Bales, Oak Ridge, Tenn; mother, Mrs Mary E Thompson of Birmingham; 3 sisters, Mrs M G Weidner of Chattanooga, Mrs J A Neville and Mrs Longo Robinson, both of Birmingham; 2 grandchildren. Funeral services Thursday from Angwin-Service Chapel, Rev R Dale LeCount officiating, after which the remains will be sent to Monteagle, Tenn, for interment Friday.
