- Mrs Elizabeth Hyland, wife of Joseph Hyland, died Friday afternoon at her home on Carey avenue after a long illness. She was thirty-nine.
Funeral services will be held this afternoon at the home with Rev Frederick Pettet, of Butler, officiating. Burial will be in the Mt Rest cemetery in Butler.
Surviving Mrs Hyland are her husband; one brother Frank, of Gifford street; two sisters, Mrs Frank McCue, of High Street; Mrs Newton Smith, of Pompton Plains; a son Joseph Jr, and a daughter, Joan.

- Funeral services for Joseph J Hyland Sr, a retired pipe cutter for American Hard Rubber Co here, will be held Friday. Interment will be in Mount Rest Cemetery.
Mr Hyland, 70, who lived at 58 Carey Ave, died at home yesterday following a long illness. Born in Roslyn Heights ,LI, he had lived here since 1912. Mr Hyland was a member of the Butler Exempt Firemen's Association and a former member of the Butler Police Benevolent Association.
Survivors are his wife, the former Ada Decker, a son Joseph J of Bloomingdale, a daughter Mrs Robert (Joan) Bosley of Bloomingdale, a brother, James of Long Island, a sister Mrs Margaret McMahon of Long Island and seven grandchildren.

- Joseph J Hyland was to be buried today at the Mount Rest Cemetery in Butler following funeral services held from the funeral home in Riverdale.
The 49 year old machinist, employed by the American Hard Rubber, Co in Butler, was the victim of a fore bomb attack Sunday morning. Butler state police are continuing to search for the person or persons unknown who left the home-made gasoline filled jug type bomb on Hyland's back porch.
Rev Charles F Post of the Butler Methodist Church will officiate at the funeral service.
Surviving are his widow Ruth, a daughter Mrs Dorothy Jane Durning of McAfee; a sister Mrs Joan Bosley of Bloomingdale and four grandchildren.
