- Elizabeth "Bette" Cataldo, 75, died January 22, 2010 at Staten Island University Hospital after a very long illness. She was a lifetime resident of Poughkeepsie, NY, who moved to Staten Island a year ago to be with her family.
She was employed as an admissions clerk and hospital phone operator at St. Francis Hospital, Poughkeepsie, NY, until her retirement.
Bette was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. She was also a member of the Italian Center Ladies Auxiliary and the Mothers Club of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. Bette loved to take care of children. After she retired, she worked in day care.
Born in Poughkeepsie, NY, on April 3, 1934, she was a daughter of William and Edna Mabie Creighton. She was a graduate of Poughkeepsie High School.
Survivors include her daughter, Laurie Dean and her husband, Tracy, of Staten Island, NY; brothers, Thomas Creighton of Pleasant Valley, NY and Ronald Creighton and wife Karen of Arizona; sisters, Barbara Paganelli of Poughkeepsie, NY with whom she made her home for 20 years, Jeannie Pampanella of Highland, NY, and Rosemarie Boyian and her husband Thomas of Norwalk, CT; grandchildren, Tarah Dean of Irvington, NY and Andrea Dean of Staten Island, NY.
She was predeceased by her siblings, William Creighton, Dena Carson, Francis Duffy, and Janet Magnarella.
Visitation will be on Monday, January 25, 2010 from 4 pm to 8 pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY. A memorial service will be held at 7:30 pm during visitation at the funeral home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

- William Creighton, 43, who was found dead here today, was born here, the son of the late Mr and Mrs James Creighton and had always resided here.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs Edna Mabie Creighton; three sons, William E, Thomas and Ronald Creighton, here; seven daughters, Miss Frances E Creighton; Mrs Dena C Carson, and the Misses Elizabeth, Barbara, Jeannett, Jean and Rose Marie Creighton, here; a sister, Mrs Elizabeth Johns, here; and two brothers, Nathan Creighton, Wappinger Falls and James Creighton, here.
Funeral services will be conducted at the William G Miller Funeral home Thursday. Burial will be in the Poughkeepsie Rural cemetery

- LaGrange – Dena M Carson, 58, a lifelong resident here, died Thursday in Wappinger Falls.
Mrs Carson was a member of the LaGrange Fire Department Auxiliary.
She was born in Poughkeepsie Dec 22, 1928 to the late William Creighton and Edna Mabee Creighton of Poughkeepsie.
On Aug 29, 1946, in Poughkeepsie she married William L Carson, Jr, who survives.
In addition to her mother and husband, Mrs Carson is also survived by four sons, William L Carson III, John M Carson, Jeffery D Carson and Timothy P Carson, all of Poughkeepsie; three daughters, Cynthia Hait of Pine Plains, Christine A Briggs of Kingston and Dena Carson of Poughkeepsie; three brothers, William Creighton of Poughkeepsie, Thomas Creighton of Pleasant Valley and Ronald Creighton of Houston Texas; six sisters, Frances Duffy of Las Vegas, Nev, Bette Cataldo and Barb Paganelli, both of Poughkeepsie, Janet Magnarella of LaGrange, Jean Pampanella of Florida and Rosemarie Boyian of Norwalk, Conn; 11 grandchildren; an aunt and many nieces and nephews,
The funeral will be Monday at the Parmele Funeral Home, Poughkeepsie with Rev William N Boak officiating.
Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Hyde Park.

- Tulsa, OK - Janet Louise Magnarella, 66, died Dec 9, 2006 at her home in Tulsa, OK.
Born of February 23, 1940 in Poughkeepsie NY, she was the daughter of William and Edna Mabie Creighton. Janet graduated in 1958 from Roosevelt High School.
Janet married John A Magnarella on July 13, 1958, at St Joseph's Church in Millbrook, NY. Janet was predeceased by her loving husband.
Janet retired from IBM and resided in Las Vegas, NV for 12 years and Tulsa, OK for 5 years.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Keith Summar of Tulsa, OK; her son and daughter-in-law, John A and Lynn Magnarell of Clinton Corners; two grandsons, John Andrew and Matthew Aaron Magnarella; brothers Thomas E Creighton of Pleasant Valley, NY and Ronald Creighton of Sun City, AZ; a twin sister, Jeanne M Pampinella of Tulsa, OK; sisters, Bette Cataldo of Poughkeepsie, Barbara Paganelli of Poughkeepsie; and Rosie Boyan of Norwalk, CT. Janet was also predeceased by brothers, William Creighton and Richard Creighton and sisters Frances Duffy and Dena Carson.

- Thomas E. Creighton, 86 of Poughkeepsie, passed away on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at The Pines in Poughkeepsie.
Born in Poughkeepsie on July 24, 1932, he was the son of William and Edna Mabie Creighton. Tom served his country with the US Army in the early 1950's. He was employed as an electrician with the Arlington Central School District for many years until his retirement.
Tom is survived by his sisters, Barbara Paganelli of Poughkeepsie and Rosemarie Boyian and her husband Thomas of Connecticut; his brother Ronald Creighton of Poughkeepsie; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brothers and sisters, Bill Creighton, Frances Duffy, Dina Carson, Elizabeth Cataldo, Jean Pampanella and Janet Magnarella.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 16 from 6-8 pm at Parmele, Auchmoody & Schoonmaker Funeral Home, 110 Fulton Ave., Poughkeepsie. Funeral services will be held at 7:30 pm during the visitation.
