- Morton – Patricia A. Barba, 82, of Morton, passed away at 6:27 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, 2015, at the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.
She was born May 3, 1933, in Deer Creek to Robert and Launa (Mabee) Miller. She married Chester Martini in 1949 in Pekin. He preceded her in death. She later married Salvatore Barba in 1953 in Buffalo, N.Y.
Surviving are her children, Marcia Martini (Bob Konop) of Playa Del Ray, Calif., Michael (Natalia) Barba of Houston, Texas, Anthony (Shelly) Barba of Brownsville, Texas, and Nina Haydon of Houston, Texas; 10 grandchildren, Jeremiah Barba, Nakia Barba, Taylor Baldwin, Sybella Barba, Robert Sundquist, Marie Yogerst, Angela Rose, Matthew Barba, Zachary Barba and Natalie Barba; and 10 great-grandchildren, Mia Ruiz, Brittany Yogerst, Kaitlyn Yogerst, Emma Jane Sundquist, Cosette Sundquist, Amy Jo Sundquist, Alyssa Sundquist, Taijah Rose, Mya Rose and Berlin Barba; and one brother, Ted (Ipo) Miller of Hawaii. She also leaves her life-long partner, Judith Dubin of Morton.
She was preceded in death by one son, Steven Martini and one sister, Robyn Lee.
Patricia owned and operated DuBar Programming Services in Los Angeles, Calif., from 1960 to 1974. She then owned and operated Focus Unlimited from 1974 until retiring in 1998.
She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Morton.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2015, at Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Morton. Further visitation will be from 12 to 12:45 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Morton, followed by a funeral Mass at 1 p.m., with Msgr. Gerald Ward officiating. Burial will be in Hirstein Cemetery in Morton.
