- Mrs. Sarah J. Lake, widow of Silas Lake, died at the home of her niece, Mrs. Sarah Idell (Bellows) Fellows at Halcott Center, Monday the 23rd after an illness of several months of debility incident to old age.
Mrs. Lake was born in the town of Halcott in 1833 and had spent most of the 90 years of her life there. Besides Mrs. Fellows, she is survived by another niece, Mrs. DeWitt Avery of Fleischmanns, and three nephews, William, Oscar and Sniffin Kelly Bellows. The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon at the Fellows home, Elder Geo Ruston officiating, and the interment was held in Halcott Center Cemetery.
