  	On the 21st inst. at his residence, Rockland County, after a few days illness, Mr. John Mabie died - much regretted by those who knew him. Early in life he imbibed the sentiments of the Washington School; he retained them until his exit from this transitory world. He was in truth what nature intended man to be - Honest. His children and friends will long lament his loss.
