- Elenor Hoffman, widow of Peter Maybee, made a claim under the UEL act. According to her claim, Peter had moved to Saratoga after having lived in Dutchess County, and they had a son named John who was 12 years old at the time of Eleanor's statement. Peter's estate in Saratoga was confiscated, and Eleanor was living in Sorel in 1783. It appears from the document that Eleanor's statement was given in February 1788, making son John's birth year approximately 1775.
