  	5 Dec 1918, Spalding Enterprise (Spalding, NE) DEATH OF THOMAS F. MURPHY -- The epidemic of Spanish influenza claimed another victim of the afternoon of Thanksgiving day, when Thomas F. Murphy, who resided with his mother, Mrs. John Murphy, six miles east and two miles north of Greeley, succumbed. The young man suffered an attack of influenza. This malady developed into pneumonia which caused his death. Thomas Murphy was twenty-seven years old and unmarried. Besides his mother, he is survived by two brothers and two sisters. The funeral was held from the Catholic church at O'Connor Saturday morning, Father Hayes conducting the funeral service and burial was at the Catholic cemetery there. Thomas Murphy was a popular young man and leaves a large number of friends.
