- Died at his home 5 ½ miles west of Mansfield, O. January 16, 1894, Benjamin C. Mabee aged 77 years. He was born at Royalton, Niagara county, N. Y., June 22, 1816, came to Richland county in 1868 and located on the farm of his late residence in Springfield township where he followed the business of dairyman He was married in his early manhood to to Sarah K. Williams of Hartland, Niagara county, N. Y. Five children were born to them. The widow and three children survive to mourn the loss of a husband and father. Mr, Mabee was from his early youth a devotee of the christian faith known as Universalism, and a firm believer in the higher hope of the final salvation of all mankind. He was a member of the First Universalist church of Mansfield and has ever in his conduct has shown himself to be truly a christian. He passed peacefullly away in the 16th inst. Religious services were conducted by the Rev. M. J. Fell, of Norwalk, and Masonic honors by Ontario Lodge, F. and A. M. He was an exemplary man, a loving husband, kind father and respected citizen. He died as he lived in the hope of blessed immorality
