- On the 8th or 18th of October 1664, when he was living in Schenectady he stated that he was the son of the late Jacob Petersz Borsboom, and that he was the born in Katwijk an Rijn, So Holland, Netherlands He was baptized in the Dutch Reformed Church there.
[The Katwijk baptismal register for 1624 to 1635 does not show any "Borsboom"]

- Pieter was attacked and wounded by Marlin, the mason, with a cutlass near the guard house in new Amsterdam. At his trial on June 7, 1657, Marlin's defense was provocation inasmuch as Bosbom had called him a liar.

- Pieter Jacobse Borsboom is named a prisoner and fined with 500 guilders and 6 years banishment. (Early records…) This next court recording is in August 1658 and than November 1659. Apparently the banishments were not enforced.
There are numerous land deeds in Feb. 1658 a lot in Beverwijck, also 23 Feb. 1660,
29 Aug 1661, 1670, 1671 etc.
Between 1657 and 1660 Pieter Jacobs Borsboom appears about 18 times in the Albany court
(from Minutes of the court of Ft. Orange and Beverwyck v. 2 1657-1660 by Laer) Only about 3 times is he the plaintiff.

- In the name of God, Amen. Peter Jacobs Bosboom doth declare, who, being an Inhabitant here and at Present lying sick in Bedd, but having and using his Sences. And coming to the disposition of goods which he is to leave behind him, he makes his universall heirs to be his 5 children, Anna, Marytie, Catharina, Fytie, and Cornelis, of all goods, movables and immovables, gold and silver, and nothing in the world excepted. He makes Adam Vrooman and Joris Aertse Van der Boest, tutors of his children, according to the tenor of a will dated April 18, 1684.

He never mentions his wife and we believe, lists his children in chronological order.

To all, etc. Know ye that at a Court of Sessions held in Albany on March 1, 1686, the will of Peter Jacobs Boontame, of the village of Schenectady was proved, and Adam Voorman and Joris Aerts Van der Voert, were appointed overseers of his five children, viz., Anna, Martye, Catharine, Fytie, and Cornelius. Confirmed April 13, 1687.
