- petitioned for compensation for property lost during the American Revolution. He was late of Tryon, New York, but now of Niagara. Lewis noted that he lived on the Mohawk on 50 acres, a free gift from his uncle, Lewis Clement many years ago. He cleared between 18 and 20 acres, had a house, barn, six horses and eight horned cattle, farming utensils, household furniture, total valued at £386 New York currency, the real estate alone was worth £300. Mabee noted that one Victor Hanson now lives there. Everything as taken by the rebels and his wife sent off. A witness to the claim was Arent Bradt.
