- Wedding bells always ring joyously, and their pealing never partook more of that nature than it did at Port Ewen this afternoon. The contracting parties on this occasion are known to everybody in Esopus and to many in this city, the bride especially having many friends and acquaintances here, many of whom were present The wedding ceremony took place about 4 o'clock at the residence of the bride's father. Cornelius Hotaling. Esq., the groom being Winficld S. Mabie and the bride Miss Emma J. Hotaling, both of Port Ewen, in the presence of a large company of invited guests. Rev. A. M. Arcalarius, of the Reformed Church at Port Ewen, officiating. The wedding presents were many and handsome, and every thing passed off as pleasantly as is the wont of the proverbial marriage bell. That Mr. and Mrs. Mabie may find in their new relation that substantial happiness which comes only
through genuine affection is the sincere wish of their numerous friends and well-wishers. This evening the newly married couple are to take the cars for the northern part of the state.
