- Private services for Daniel Mabie, 49, of Kirkville R. D. 2, who was killed June 29 in an airplane crash at Reading, Pa., were held Saturday at Eaton-Tubbs Funeral Home. Burial was in Kirkville Cemetery.
Mr. Mabie was a life resident of Kirkville and a graduate of Fayetteville High School. He was a partner with his brothers, David and O. Gerald Mabie, in Mabie Bros. Farm Machinery Inc., Kinderhook Rd., Kirkville.
The Plane was owned by Daniel and David Mabie. It crashed while landing at Reading Municipal Airport. Also in the plane was David E. Stevens, 27, of Canastota, who was critically injured.
Mr. Mabie, was a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Assn., and had been flying more than 25 years. Surviving are his brothers. O. Gerald and David E. Mabie, both of Kirkville, and a sister, Mrs. Donna M. Combs
