- Margaret Ann Mabee died on Saturday at the home of her brother in law, George A Scrafford at Rotterdam Junction in her seventy first year, She was a daughter of the late Simon Mabee and Hannah Marlett Mabee of Rotterdam and was born in the old Mabee homestead, still standing at Rotterdam Junction and the oldest house in the Mohawk valley, the walls being built in 1670. Her entire life practically had been spent on what was her own property, the larger part of Rotterdam Junction proper having originally been a portion of the old Mabee farm. She Is survived by one sister, Mrs. George A Scrafford of Rotterdam Junction, with whom she has made her home for may years. Another sister, Katherine Eliza Putnam, died only a week before. The funeral was held at 2 o'clock this afternoon at the Scrafford residence

- Mrs. Rachael F. Mabee Scrafford, 73, the last of the Mabee family and one of the oldest residents of Rotterdam, who had been i1l some time, died yesterday at her home. Arrangements for the funeral, will be made today at the convenience of the family and interment will be in Rotterdam.
Mrs. Scrafford was born in Rotterdam and was the sixth daughter of the late Simon .Mabee and Hannah Marlette Mabee and was the last of that family. The Mabee house In which she was born is probably the oldest house In the Mohawk Valley and was built sometime between 1660 and 1670.
She was the sixth generation of the family to occupy the old home, the first, being her great-great-great-grand -father, Jan Pieterse Mabee, who came to this city in 1684. On September 19, 1883, she married George Scrafford of' this city and shortly afterward went to Rotterdam Junction where they lived since that time.
She leaves her husband and two daughters, Mabel and Edna
