- Funeral Services for John W Maybee, 68, of Milltown, who died at a local hospital Tuesday night, will be held at 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the Marsh & Powell chapel. Rev Carl Muirhead will officiate and burial will be in the Missoula cemetery.
Mr Maybee was born June 24, 1874, in Wilmer, Minn. He was a pioneer rancher in Western Montana for many years and had been living in Milltown the past five years. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs Mamie Jackson, Los Angeles, Cal; a sister, Mrs James Burdett, Spokane; a nephew, Eric H Maybee, Butte, and a niece, Mrs W J Neidt of Dillon.

- Graveside services for Big Hole Valley native Beulah "Bea" Istre will be Friday at Sunset Hill Cemetery in Bozeman.
Mrs Istre died Thursday in Tehatchepi, Calif.
She was born to Orlo and Elizabeth Maybee. She graduated from Sacred Heart Academy in Missoula and attended the Western Montana College.
Mrs. Istre married William "Jake" Neidt of Jacson and they lived in the Dillon and Wisdom area for many years. She later married Chester Bruns of Whitehall. Both men preceded her in death as did her brother, Eric.
She later married Thomas Istre of Willow Valley, Ariz. He survives.
Mrs Istre belonged to Wisdom chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Professional Business Women of America.
Other survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Carl and Karen Hartwig of Butte, Gordon and Sharon Payne of Tehatchpi; half brother Marcede Kruze of California; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
