- Jared Mabie Dies at Ames, Iowa
A telegram was received this morning from Ames, Ia., announcing the death of Jared Mabie. Deceased was a son of Edward Mabe and a brother of Fred Mabie, both of this city. The father leaves tonight for Ames. Deceased was telegraph operator for the Northwestern railroad at that city.

- Mrs E Mabie died Saturday at the home of her son, Fred L Mabie, 610 Mississippi street. Funeral services will be held from the residence Tuesday afternoon. Rev J W Watson and Rev W A Billings will have charge of the services. Burial will be made at Oak Grove cemetery. Mrs Mabie was born August 11, 1832 at Syracuse, NY. She is survived by her husband, three children, F L Mabie, La Crosse; Mrs Charles Kleasner, Belvidere, Ill, and Mrs L L Hettrick, Belvidere. She was the mother of seven children. Seventeen grandchildren survive.

- Edward Mabie died last night at the home of his son, Fred L Mabie, 610 Mississippi street.
Mr Mabie was born in 1832 in Castile, Wyoming county, NY, and came to La Crosse twenty four years ago.
He is survived by two brothers and two sisters, three children, Mrs Nellie Kleasner and Mrs L L Hettrick of Belvidere, Ill, and Fred L of this city. He also leaves seventeen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon from the son's home. Rev W A Billings and Rev J W Watson officiating. Burial will be made in Oak Grove cemetery.

- Osage, Ia – Ray Mabie, 47, connected with the business life of Osage for the last 25 years and a clerk in the Little Gem grocery on Main Street for the last 15 years, died suddenly of a heart attack Saturday afternoon at his home here
He was born in La Cross, Wis. In April 1894, and married Clara Rischmann 26 years ago.
Surviving are his widow; his aged father, Fred Mabie, Cedar Falls, two brothers, Edward Mabie, head of speech department at University of Iowa, Iowa City, and Rolland, Milwaukee, Wis., and a sister, Mrs Ethel Fark, also of Milwaukee.

- Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Congregational church in charge of the Rev. Stiles Lessly for Ray Mabie, 47, who died suddenly at his home Saturday afternoon of heart disease.
Born in LaCrosse, Wisconsin, he came to Osage as a young man. On April 4, 1915, he was married to Clara Richsmann and they have lived in Osage. For the past 10 years Mr. Mabie had a position at the Little Gem Grocery store.
He became a member of the Congregational church in 1915 and had been a member of Osage Lodge A.F. and A. N. since May 1932. He also belonged to the Modern Woodmen of America.
Surviving are his wife, his father, Fred Mabie of Cedar Falls; two brothers; Edward of Iowa City; and Rolland of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and a sister; Mrs. Philip Falk of Madison, Wisconsin
Burial with full Masonic rites was in the Osage Cemetery.
