- Thomas Sherwood, 1816 S. Highland, Chanute, Neosho, Kansas, born 15 May 1886, registered for the draft on 12 Sep 1918, at Erie, Neosho County, Kansas. He was a Turntable man at At and S. F. Ry roundhouse in Chanute. His nearest living relative was his wife Clara Sherwood at the same address He was white, tall, of medium build, with light brown eyes and dark brown hair.

- Edmund Randall (Buck) Sherwood, 52, Tulsa, died Saturday, at St John's Hospital in Tulsa of a heart attack. Mr. Sherwood was born October 24, 1917, at Geneva and he was graduated from the La Harpe High School in 1935. A veteran of World War II Mr. Sherwood served with the 195th Automotive Weapons Battalion. He was employed as a mechanic at A. J. Habiger Sales and the Dale Wichman Ford in Iola until five years ago when he moved to Tulsa where he was employed at the time of his death, at the Convey Serving Company.
He was a member of the American Legion and V.F.W.' in Tulsa.
Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Sherwood, Iola, an uncle and several aunts.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Waugh-Yokum Funeral Home.
The Rev. Donald Hood will officiate and burial will be in the Geneva Cemetery.

- Ed Theron Mabie was born February 4, 1900 at Geneva, Kas. He departed from this life May 22, 1932, age 32 years, 4 months, 18 days. He received his education in the schools of Geneva and Iola, Kas.
On January 1, 1924, he married Lana Lucille Simmons of Neosha Falls, Kas. To this union, on June 2, 1925, was born one son, Frank Virgil, who survives his parents; the mother having passed to her reward on Jun 10, 1925, leaving her infant son and grief-stricken husband.
Besides his son Ed leaves to mourn his untimely death, his mother, Mr Clara Mabie; three brothers, George, Frank, and Horace Mabie, of Geneva, Kas.; three sisters, Mrs Ed Fitzpatrick, Geneva, Kas.; Mrs O. B. Miller, Sabetha, Kas.; Mrs Tom Sherwood, LaHarpe, Kas; six nieces and five nephews; one cousin, Mrs Aldo Funston. Iola, Kas.; other relatives and a large circle of friends....

- Mrs Clara Mabie, passed away at the farm of her son Frank near Geneva yesterday afternoon in the same community where she was born 75 years ago.
She had been a resident of the Geneva Community continuously since her birth and was a member of a well known pioneer family of that locality.
Mrs Mabie was the daughter of the late Mr and Mrs George Esse, who settled in the community a few years before Mrs Mabie was born.
She was a widow of E. R. Mabie to whom she was married in 1880. Mr Mabie a Civil war veteran died in 1889...
Among survivors are six children, Mrs Tom Sherward, Iola, Mrs O. B. Miller, Alva, Okla., H. R. Mabie, Yates Center, and George E Mabie. Frank C Mabie, and Mrs Ed Fitzpatrick, all of Geneva. Fourteen grandchildren, also are amoung the survivors

- Tom Sherwood, Deer Creek Township (RFD 2 Iola), Allen, Kansas, born 15 May 1886 in Anderson Co., Kansas, registered for the draft. He was a farmer. The person who would always know his address was his wife, Mrs Clara B Sherwood at the same address. He was White, 5' 9", 190 pounds, had brown eyes, was bald, and had a light complexion.

- Thomas J. (Tom) Sherwood, 88, 207 North Fourth, died yesterday, March 2, at the Stirling Heights Manor. Mr Sherwood had been a resident of the Manor for the last 20 months.
He was born May 15, 1886, near Geneva. He was married to Clara B. Mabie May 1, 1916 at Geneva.
Years ago Mr Sherwood worked at the smelters. He spent som time working for the Sante Fe Railroad and devoted a considerable amount of his life to farming before ill health forced his retirement.
Survivors include his widow, Clara, of the home; a brother, Jim Sherwood, Yates Center, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Edmund Randall Sherwood, on August 29, 1970.
Funeral services will be tomorrow at the Waugh-Yokum Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Geneva Cemetery.
