  	The marriage of Miss Barbara Maybee, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nelson A. Maybee. 43 Gouverneur street, and John Gaines, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Gaines of Madrid, was solemnized at St. Mary's church. Canton, at ten Saturday morning. The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Robert McCarthy. The bride, given in marriage by her father, was attired in an ivory satin gown with lace bodice and long sleeves. She had a finger-tip veil and carried a bouquet of roses. The bridesmaid. Miss Lois Glidden, a member of the school of nursing of the A Barton Hepburn hospital. Ogdensburg. wore an orchid dress with matching accessories and carried pink roses Frederick Jahne of Newton Park acted as the best man. The bride is a graduate of Canton High school and the A Barton Hepburn hospital school of nursing. She is now a member of the staff of the Potsdam hospital Mr. Gaines is a graduate of Madrid High school. He now operates a farm in Madrid Following the ceremony a reception for members of the inmediate family was held at the Silas Wright Tea Cozy. The couple left on a wedding trip and upon their return will live in Madrid
