  	A rather dubious account of early Adolphustown states that Isaac was in the war of 1812, and died while thus in the services. Secondary sources place Isaac's death at 1813 or 1814. He served as a corporal in Capt. Nicholas Hagerman's Company of the Lennox County Militia. He last appears on a Muster Roll ending on March 28, 1813, and not listed on the next one beginning in late April. It would appear he died during that time period. Lennox County was not an area subject to major battles in the manner the Niagara area was, so chances are Isaac did not die in combat. If he were buried locally, it would likely be at the Anglican Cemetery in Adolphustown, where his sister Elizabeth Harris (1787-1841) has a marker, and where his father Capt. Abraham is likely buried. It would be nice to place a Veteran marker at his burial site, but until a location is determined, that is not going to occur. Peter W. Johnson
