  	Ernest LeRoy Mabey - 71, 106 Wood St., Truro, died Wednesday in Colchester Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, N.B., he was a son of the late Rueben and Alice (Wright) Mabey. He was a retired teacher with the Colchester-East Hants District School Board. He was a former announcer for CKCL Radio and a former sports reporter with the Truro Daily News. He was a charter member and first president of the Colchester Historical Society, a member of the First Baptist Church and choir, Royal Canadian Legion, Nova Scotia Historical Society, American Indian Historical Society and several educational and community, organizations. He is survived by 'his wife, the former Marion Evelyn Durkee; four daughters, Mary (Mrs. John Nowell), Truro; Nancy, Sheila, both of Mississauga; Nettie, Charlottetown; four sons, Bill, Harley, Jym, all of Truro; Fenwick, Moncton; 13 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sister, Ruth. At his request his body has been donated- to Dalhousie Medical School. A memorial service will be. held 2 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church, Rev. Dr. Malcolm Harlow officiating. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to the Colchester Regional Hospital Foundation. or any charity.

  	Memorial Obituary, Teacher, Volunteer dies in hospital. Truro, Ernest Leroy Mabey, the first president of the Colchester Historical Society died Wednesday in Colchester Regional Hospital. Mr. Mabey, 71, was a charter member of the society and a retired school teacher with the Colchester East Hants District School Board. He was at one time a reporter with the Daily News and an announcer with CKCI Radio. A member of First Baptist Church and choir, Mr. Mabey was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, the Nova Scotia Historical Society and several educational and community organizations. He is survived by his wife Marion Evelyn (Durkee); four daughters, Mary (Mrs. John Newell), Truro; Nancy and Sheila, Mississauga, Ont., Nettie, Charlottestown; four sons, Bill, Harley and Jym all of Truro. Fenwick of Moncton and 13 grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister, Ruth. At his request his body has been donated to Dalhousie Medical School.
