- Elaine S Maybee, 502 devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother of 54 East Shore Circle, died Monday, January 10, 2000 at Cayuga Medical Center, after her courageous battle with cancer. Elaine was born in Lansing, NY, on June 2, 1949, the daughter of Ruth Miller Snyder and the late Edgar Snyder. Elaine is survived by her husband Richard Maybee of Ithaca; sons, Mark (Stacie) Updine, fiancee) Maybee of Freeville, Troy (Tina) Maybee of Dryden; daughters, Kara Maybee and Tara Maybee of Ithaca; and grandsons Ian and Damian Maybee. She was survived by her brothers, Lawrence Snyder and Gary Snyder of Groton, Norman (Joanne) Snyder of Lansing, and sister Eileen Camp of Dryden. She was predeceased by her sister Lucille Rollins. She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Madeline Maybee; brothers-in-law, James (Patricia) Maybee of Ithaca, and Gary (Marianne) Maybee of Freeville.
Elaine had previously been employed as a talented hair dresser, worked at the Trumansburg Headstart, and spent several years working as a caretaker for the elderly. Most recently she was employed at Kendal of Ithaca with Dining and Nutritional Services, where she was loved and admired by all that knew her. Funeral services will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday.

- Madeline M. Maybee, age 78, of Ithaca, NY died Friday, June 17, 2005 at Lakeside Nursing Home. Madeline was born August 30, 1926 in Ithaca, the daughter of late Charles and Irene Ross Foster. Madeline, a long time area resident, was employed for 30 years at Cornell University as a Lab Tech. Upon retiring, she enjoyed her flower gardens, puzzles, loved to crochet, and was avid bingo player. She was devoted to her children, grandchildren, and entire family, giving unselfishly of herself. She was a diehard baseball fan and was well versed on all aspects of the game. Madeline will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Survivors include her sons, Richard L. Maybee of King Ferry, James L. (Patricia) Maybee of Ithaca, and Gary L. (Marianne) Maybee of Freeville; grandchildren: Mark (Stacy), Troy, Kara, Tara, Shawn (Maggie), Brian and Matthew (Tonya) Maybee and Jennifer (Lloyd) Spinner; great-grandchildren: Ian, Damien, Mark, Timmy, Mikeala, and Lynn Maybee; a sister, Mary (Steven) Bower; brothers, Ronald (Charlene) Foster, Phil (Vivian) Foster, and James (Marilyn) Foster; sisters and brothers-in-law, Georgia (Oliver) Brown, James (Marge) Maybee, and George (Evelyn) Maybee. Many nieces and nephews also survive. She was predeceased by her step-mother, Pearl Foster, her brother, Charles Foster, Jr. and her daughter-in-law, Elaine Maybee.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, June 21, 2005 at the Perkins Funeral Home with Rev. Bud Dolch officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Cemetery, Dryden. Friends are invited to call from 7 to 9 PM Monday and from 1 to 2 PM Tuesday at the funeral home, 55 West Main St., Dryden.
