The person who would always know his address was his father, Mr Bert O Mabie, at the same address. He was White, 68", 130 pounds, had blue eyes, blonde hair, and a light complexion.

- Bert Orian Mabie, 65, was found dead at his home on East Clark Street about one o:clock Friday afternoon by a neighbor, Mrs. Leedy. The body was in an upright position in a chair. It is believed he died the night before of a heart attack. Mr. Mabie was born near North Webster, Aug 31, 1877, the son of William A. and Catherine Mabie. Several years ago he was a candidate for the Republican nomination as sheriff, an office once held by his father, the late Dr. William A. Mabie. He served as deputy sheriff during his father's incumbency. He served a number of years as constable in Turkey Creek Township, being very active in law-enforcement around Lake Wawasee. He had resided in Warsaw the past 16 years and was a member of the Christian church. The surviving relatives are two daughters, Mrs. Ralph Method, of Syracuse; Mrs. O.C. Daft, of Indianapolis; two sons, Eldred Mabie, of near Syracuse; Auldon Mabie, of Warsaw; one brother Thomas A. Mabie of Kansas City, Mo.; and one sister Mrs. L. F. Hazel, of South Bend. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, 2 p.m. at the Landis funeral home, Rev. A.V. Hayes of the Christian church, will have charge of the service, and burial will be made in North Webster cemetery

- Mrs. Emma Mabie, 85, died of complications at 11:05 p.m. Friday, at the home of her son, Eldred Mabie, on Rt 2, where she had resided since 1950. She had been in failing health for two years. Mrs. Mabie was born June 14, 1881 at Rushville, Ill., the daughter of Edward and Barbara (Shroyer) Lloyd. She was a member of the Calvary EUB Church and the Harmony Circle of the Good will Home Economics club. Survivors include two sons, Eldred Mabie, Rt 2, Syracuse; Audon Mabie, Fort Wayne; two daughters, Mrs. Ralph (Eloise) Method, Syracuse; Mrs. O.C. (Kathryn) Daft, Greenwood; three sisters, Miss Minnie Lloyd, Indianapolis; Mrs. Ezra (Glynnora) Graham, Warsaw; Mrs. S.T. (Erma) Iden, Valpariso; six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Harris Funeral Home. Rev. Kennard Robinson will officiate and interment will be in the Syracuse cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 7 p.m. today until the hour of service on Sunday.

He was born March 2, 1913, in Penn Township, St Joseph County, and lived most of his life in Kosciusko County. He attended Cook's Chapel, Warsaw.
