She was a member of the faculty or the local high school for four years and for the past two years taught at Amityville, LI // Mr. Skidmore, who was graduated from the public schools of suburban Boston in 1929, is In the postal service at Amityville. The bride is a graduate .of Middleburg High school and Mildred Elly business school. The groom also attended the Middleburg high school. He entered the army in August. 1942. and is a clerk at Camp Chaffee.- Ark. Corporal and Mrs. Youmans will make their home in Fort Smith while he is stationed at Camp Chafee."9,10

Besides her husband. Nelson R Mabey, she is survived by four daughters. Miss Eva Mabey, Mrs. Eugene Sitts, Mrs. Allen Craig and Miss Ruth Mabey of Gloversville: two sons. Guy M. and LeRoy Mabey, of this city. One sister, Mrs. Doris Fox. of this city also several grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Services will be hekl from the home Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, Mrs George Fenton, reader of the Christian Science church will officiate. Interment will be made in the Prospect Hill cemetery.11

Mrs. Charles Sutliff, reader of the Christian Science Church, will officiate. Interment will be made in the Prospect Hill cemetery.
Mr. Mabey, 76, passed away at 1:30 yesterday morning at the Queeney private hospital on Fremont street where he had been a patient for the past two years. He was born in Schoharie county, but had been a resident of Gloversville for the past 50 years. He was a member of the Schoharie Methodist church and of the Masons' Union.
The survivors are four daughters, Ruth and Eva Mabey and Mrs Allen Craig and Mrs. Eugene Sitts; two sons, Guy E. and Roy D; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews, all of Gloversville.8

oObit*22 March 1948  On 22 March 1948 at Gloversville, New York, the obituary of Leah Mabey read: Mrs Leah E. Craig, 56. wife of Allen F. Craig, building contractor, 19 Highland Terrace, died in Littauer hospital last night at 8 where she had been a patient one week.
Mrs Craig was born in Gloversville March 30, 1891 and always resided here She was a member of the First Church of Christ Scientist and active in affairs of the church.
Besides her husband, the survivors are two sons, Allen E and Douglas Craig; three sisters. Miss Eva Mabey. Miss Ruth Mabey and Mrs Eugene Sitts. and one brother, Row Mabey. all of Gloversville.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 at the Clarence Brown funeral home. 301 North Main street. The first reader of the First Church of Christ, Scientist, will officiate. Burial will be made in Prospect Hill cemetery.11

Besides her husband. Nelson R Mabey, she is survived by four daughters. Miss Eva Mabey, Mrs. Eugene Sitts, Mrs. Allen Craig and Miss Ruth Mabey of Gloversville: two sons. Guy M. and LeRoy Mabey, of this city. One sister, Mrs. Doris Fox. of this city also several grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Services will be hekl from the home Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, Mrs George Fenton, reader of the Christian Science church will officiate. Interment will be made in the Prospect Hill cemetery.7

Mr. Mabey, 76, passed away at 1:30 yesterday morning at the Queeney private hospital on Fremont street where he had been a patient for the past two years. He was born in Schoharie county, but had been a resident of Gloversville for the past 50 years. He was a member of the Schoharie Methodist church and of the Masons' Union.
The survivors are four daughters, Ruth and Eva Mabey and Mrs Allen Craig and Mrs. Eugene Sitts; two sons, Guy E. and Roy D; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews, all of Gloversville.9

Besides her husband. Nelson R Mabey, she is survived by four daughters. Miss Eva Mabey, Mrs. Eugene Sitts, Mrs. Allen Craig and Miss Ruth Mabey of Gloversville: two sons. Guy M. and LeRoy Mabey, of this city. One sister, Mrs. Doris Fox. of this city also several grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Services will be hekl from the home Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, Mrs George Fenton, reader of the Christian Science church will officiate. Interment will be made in the Prospect Hill cemetery.8

He was born in Schoharie county, but had been a resident of Gloversville for the past 50 years. He was a member of the Schoharie Methodist church and of the Masons' Union.
The survivors are four daughters, Ruth and Eva Mabey and Mrs Allen Craig and Mrs. Eugene Sitts; two sons, Guy E. and Roy D; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews, all of Gloversville.9

Besides her husband. Nelson R Mabey, she is survived by four daughters. Miss Eva Mabey, Mrs. Eugene Sitts, Mrs. Allen Craig and Miss Ruth Mabey of Gloversville: two sons. Guy M. and LeRoy Mabey, of this city. One sister, Mrs. Doris Fox. of this city also several grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Services will be hekl from the home Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, Mrs George Fenton, reader of the Christian Science church will officiate. Interment will be made in the Prospect Hill cemetery.12

Mrs. Charles Sutliff, reader of the Christian Science Church, will officiate. Interment will be made in the Prospect Hill cemetery.
Mr. Mabey, 76, passed away at 1:30 yesterday morning at the Queeney private hospital on Fremont street where he had been a patient for the past two years. He was born in Schoharie county, but had been a resident of Gloversville for the past 50 years. He was a member of the Schoharie Methodist church and of the Masons' Union.
The survivors are four daughters, Ruth and Eva Mabey and Mrs Allen Craig and Mrs. Eugene Sitts; two sons, Guy E. and Roy D; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews, all of Gloversville.13

Mr. Mabey had suffered a shock two years ago and since that time he had been confined to his home where he had been tenderly cared for by his family.
Mr. Mabey was born at South Gilboa in November. 1855. the son of Stephen and Harriet Mabey. He was married 48 years ago to Lucy Hanford of Hobart. who survives him. A resident of Stamford for the past 24 years, he had conducted a farm before coming to the village where for the past 18 years he had conducted an
auto livery.
Besides his widow, Mr. Mabey is survived by two sons, Ralph of Corning, and Harry of Stamford; two brothers, Alvin and Stephen of South Gilboa: three sisters. Mrs. Ella Ferris of Albany. Mrs. Sarah Van Hoesen of South Gilboa. and Mrs. Irving Chichester of Stamford.
The funeral, which was very largely attended by relatives and friends, was held from the -Stamford M. E. Church Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, tho Rev. W. L. Comstock officiating There was a beautiful display
of flowers. Interment was made in the Stamford cemetery.9

Mabey. 37, a- maintenance man for the New York Telephone Co. who had been missing for some 15 hours, was found dead yesterday in this Delaware County community.
State police of the Margaretville substation said his body was discovered hanging in an abandoned building owned by Harry Meeker of Stamford at 11:45 a. m.
Mr. Mabey, a life-long resident of Stamford, had been reported missing since 9:30 p.m. Tuesday they added. His body was found by Paul Murphy, a member of a searching party.
Dr. Sidney Solomon of Stamford, a Delaware County coroner's physician, gave a verdict of suicide.
Mr. Mabey was born March 13, 1920, son of Harry and Grace (Laidley) Mabey. He married the former Miss Catherine Davidson of South Kortright, Aug. 26, 1945.
He was an Army veteran of World War 2 and a member of Aerie 1260, Fraternal. Order of Eagles, in Oneonta.
Surviving are his wife: two daughters, Paula and Mary, and his parents, all of Stamford.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a. m., Saturday, at the Sacred Heart Church in Stamford by the Rev. Edward Sheedy, pastor.
Burial will be In Sacred Heart Cemetery.15

Mabey. 79 Helen St, Binghamton, died at City Hospital, Friday at 5:55 p.m. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Florence Mabey, Binghampton: a brother, Harry Mabey, Stamford, N. Y. He was a member of the F&AM Lodge, Corning, N. Y. The body was removed to the J. F. Rice Funeral Home, 150 Main St, Johnson City, where the funeral and committal services will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. The Rev. James C. Leeper. Jr., of the First Presbyterian Church, Johnson City will officiate. Burial will be in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endicott at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the funeral home this evening and Sunday afternoon and evening.16

Surviving are his wife, who before their marriage was Miss Margaret Maybee of Rhinecliff, two sons, George of Poughkeepsie and Elmor of Rhinecliff and a daughter, Mrs Barzelle Cole of Red Hook. Four grandchildren also survive.
Mr. Harrington was a prominent Democrat and for years has been an active worker for his party in Rhinecliff and a member of the election board. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock a t his late home, with the Rev. Mr. Piper, pastor of the Rhinecliff Methodist church officiating. Burial will be in Rhinebeck cemetery.4

(Witness) oObit7 March 1963 Elmer Franklin Harrington was mentioned in the obituary of Washington Mabie on 7 March 1963 at Rhinebeck, New York; G. Washington Mabie, Rhinecliff, who celebrated his 100th birthday anniversary November 20, 1962, died Wednesday night in Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck. He entered the hospital last Thursday after suffering a fall at his home.
Mr. Mabie was born in the town of Rhinebeck, Nov. 20, 1862 at Flat Rock. The Mabie family lived in a stone house located at the intersection of what is now Route 308 and the River Road, leading into Ankony Farms. He attended the Flat Rock School which was the only school in that part of town, until the Rhinecliff School was built in 1878. At an early age his family moved to Hutton Farm, now occupied by the Riverside Farms. He went to work as a boy on The Hutton Farm. Later he was employed by Robert Suckley as dairyman, and he also worked on the Levi P. Morton Estate in various capacities. In 1910 he went into the trucking business which continued until 1940 when he retired.
He had lived in his present home since 1876. which is also occupied by his nephew Elmer F. Harrington.
He was a member of Rhinebeck Methodist Church for 79 years.
Surviving, besides Mr. Harrington, are two other nephews. George Harrington of Rhinecliff and Jacob Mabie of Poughkeesie, and three nieces, M rs. Barzelle Cole of Red Hook, Mrs. Dena Mabie and Mrs. Edna Creighton, both of Poughkeepsie, and several cousins.
Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at two-thirty o'clock at the Dapson Funeral Home, 65 W. Market street, Rhinebeck. The Rev. Robert Hankins. pastor of the Methodist parish, will officiate.
Friends may call at the funeral home Friday evening.7

Mr. Harrington was a past member of the Masonic Lodge of Rhinebeck #423 F&AM, past member of Rhinebeck Fire Co., Dutchess Volunteer Fire Assoc., a member of the Alumni Central Schools and Dutchess County Mandate Assoc, and a past member of the Garrettson United Methodist Church.
Born in Rhinebeck on May 25,1895 to the late Frederick and Margaret (former Margaret Maybie) Harrington, he married Marquerite Proale. She passed away in 1973. Survivors include one son, Frederick Harrington of Sarasota, FL; a daughter, Ruth Pelosi of North Miami, FL; one brother, Elmer Harrington of Rhinecliff; seven grandchildren; eight grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.4

Dr. Sidney Solomon of Stamford, a Delaware County coroner's physician, gave a verdict of suicide.
Mr. Mabey was born March 13, 1920, son of Harry and Grace (Laidley) Mabey. He married the former Miss Catherine Davidson of South Kortright, Aug. 26, 1945.
He was an Army veteran of World War 2 and a member of Aerie 1260, Fraternal. Order of Eagles, in Oneonta.
Surviving are his wife: two daughters, Paula and Mary, and his parents, all of Stamford.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a. m., Saturday, at the Sacred Heart Church in Stamford by the Rev. Edward Sheedy, pastor.
Burial will be In Sacred Heart Cemetery.10

Mr. Mabey had suffered a shock two years ago and since that time he had been confined to his home where he had been tenderly cared for by his family.
Mr. Mabey was born at South Gilboa in November. 1855. the son of Stephen and Harriet Mabey. He was married 48 years ago to Lucy Hanford of Hobart. who survives him. A resident of Stamford for the past 24 years, he had conducted a farm before coming to the village where for the past 18 years he had conducted an
auto livery.
Besides his widow, Mr. Mabey is survived by two sons, Ralph of Corning, and Harry of Stamford; two brothers, Alvin and Stephen of South Gilboa: three sisters. Mrs. Ella Ferris of Albany. Mrs. Sarah Van Hoesen of South Gilboa. and Mrs. Irving Chichester of Stamford.
The funeral, which was very largely attended by relatives and friends, was held from the -Stamford M. E. Church Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, tho Rev. W. L. Comstock officiating There was a beautiful display
of flowers. Interment was made in the Stamford cemetery.11
