Jimmy was born on February 18, 1935 in Columbia, Tennessee to the late James Morton Hamilton and the late Clara Eunice Mabee Hamilton. He married Willomae Taylor in 1958 and they were married for 55 years before his passing. He was trusted by all who knew him and was a self-employed heavy equipment operator. He did all sorts of dozer work. He loved to travel, particularly out west and loved to travel the back roads. Additionally, he was a member of Riverview Baptist Church. Jimmy is survived by his wife: Willomae Taylor Hamilton; children: Gwendolyn (Doug) King, James Taylor Hamilton, Betty Ann Hamilton; grandchildren: Andrew King, Jonathan King and Ashlee King; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mr. Hamilton will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Southside Baptist Church in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee with Bro. Jimmy Nave and Bro. Ezell Rose officiating. Burial will follow at Arlington Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant. The family will visit with friends on Friday, January 10 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. also at Southside Baptist Church. Burt Brooks, Kevin Brooks, Michael Parham, Robert Jandreau, Jonathan King, Andrew King, Carl Brooks, Hillary Burgess will serve as pallbearers. Owen Moore and William Lamar will serve as honorary pallbearers. Mrs. Hamilton worked in the Environmental Sciences Department at Maury Regional Medical Center for over a decade. She was a member of the Southside Baptist Church and loved her Church family. Most of all, Willomae loved her family. She leaves behind her Daughters: Betty Ann Hamilton and Gwendolyn King; Son: James Taylor (Darlene) Hamilton; Grandsons: Andrew King and Jonathan King and Granddaughter: Ashlee King. The Family will visit with friends on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 from 4pm until 8pm at Williams Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant. Services will be held on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Williams Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant. Interment will follow at Arlington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Southside Baptist Church in Mount Pleasant, TN.
