Jerry Robert Mabie, the son of Robert and Alice Coon Mabie of Elizaville, was born in Rhinebeck, Sept. 27, 1951. He had attended Pine Plains Schools and was employed on his family's farm in Elizaville.
Besides his parents, he is survived by three brothers, Robert, Richard and Mark Mabie, all of Elizaville, a sister, Mrs. Patricia Coons of Elizaville, a nephew, Tod Coons of Elizaville and a grandmother, Mrs. George Mabie of Red Hook.
Funeral services were held Monday with the Rev.Lawrence Reilly of the Elizaville Methodist Church officiating. Interment was at Elizaville Cemetery.4

For many year she worked at the dietary department for Northern Dutchess Hospital and the Thompson House in Rhinebeck, NY. She also worked Universal Match Company in Hudson. Alice was an avid gardener. Born on October 19th, 1932 in Rhinebeck, NY, she was the daughter of William N. and Evelyn (Rhynders) Coon. Alice married Robert Mabie in 1951 at Christ Episcopal Church in Red Hook. Robert survives at home in Red Hook. Along with her husband and her mother, Evelyn Coon of Germantown, she is survived by a daughter: Patricia Coons of Elizaville, NY, three sons: Robert, Richard, and Mark Mabie all of Elizaville, three sisters: Helen Daniels of Germantown, Shirley Scism of Red Hook, and Sandra Keeler of Millerton, two brothers: Elmer Coon of Bailey Harbor, Wisc. and Howard Coon of Germantown. A grandson, Todd Coon of Elizaville, and a granddaughter, Malissa Mabie of Saugerties, along with many nieces and nephews also survive. She was predeceased by a sister, Marion Coon. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, December 8th, at Burnett and White Funeral Homes, Red Hook, NY. The Rev. Bernice West of will officiate. Burial will be at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Red Hook. Friends may call at the Burnett and White Funeral Homes on Tuesday, December 7th, from 7 - 9 p.m. Memorial donations may be made in Alice's memory to the American Cancer Society, 45 Reade Place, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601. Arrangements are under the direction of Burnett and White Funeral Homes 7461 S. Broadway, Red Hook, NY.2
