A graveside service will be held at 11 am. On Tuesday, February 16 at Quantico National Cemetery.10

She is survived by her daughters Deborah Meyer Burget (Craig) of Fairmont, WV and Ruth Meyer Belval (Matt) of Vacaville, CA; son Benjamin Franklin Meyer (Michelle) of Evans, GA; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister Nancy Houlburg; and brother Bill Mabie of California. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jackie Ray Meyer; her son, Daniel Raymond Meyer; her parents Dr. William E. and Grace Mabie; and her sisters, Barbara Jean Aceball, Sue Pratt.
The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, February 14 at Covenant Funeral Service.
A graveside service will be held at 11 am. On Tuesday, February 16 at Quantico National Cemetery.9

she had "no immediate plans."
"I'm not sure if I'll swim any distances again," she said at her home in suburban Hamburg township. "I would like to try Lake Ontario. But I have no plans. If I try any more distances it will have to be next summer."
Sue, who will enter her senior year of high school next month, covered the 12-mile distance across Lake Erie in 10 hours and 18 minutes, more than two and one-half hours shorter than the 13 hours taken by Greta Patterson of Batavia last year.
Sue celebrated her feat Sunday by taking a morning swim in front of her lake shore home for about a half mile and water skied with her father, Dr. William Mabie, in the afternoon after attending church.
During her record swim, the strong-legged lass experienced little difficulty until the final mile; when a strong off-shore wind began to carry her past Crystal Beach. She managed to battle back on course and was greeted Early arriving delegates found by several thousand persons as she emerged from the water at t n e amusement park pier on 6 August 1956 at Buffalo, Erie County, New York.7
