He was preceded in death by his parents Charles Francis and Vera Mabey Litz, wife Lee May Litz; siblings Roland Litz, Robert Litz and wife Toni, Frank Litz and wife Dorothy, Wilda Mangum and husband Roy, Buck Stewart, Nina and Frances Litz. Survivors: life partner: Gean R. Theron was born November 24, 1923, in Geneva, Kansas, the son Edward Anthony and Anna Thresa (Mabie) Fitzpatrick. He grew up and lived his entire life in the Geneva and Neosho Falls communities.
On August 22, 1948, Theron married Pauline Stovall. He enjoyed farming, raising cattle, and also ran a saw mill with a neighbor during the winter months. He liked to hunt and fish with family and friends. Pauline preceded him in death November 15, 2004.
Theron served on the board of directors of the Piqua Farmers Coop and Woodson County F.H.A.
Survivors are two sons, Ed Fitzpatrick and companion Chris, Neosho Falls, and Ken Fitzpatrick and wife Rhonda of Wellington; daughter: Patsy Mapes and husband, Dan, Skiatook, Ola; five grandchildren, Heidi Theurer and husband Travis, Casey Fitzpatrick, Anna Lucas and huband Nic, Emily Mapes and fiance Terry Reed and Eli Mapes; and five great-grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Georgia Mae Cleaver.
Funeral Services we be at 10:30 a.m, Saturday at the Waugh-Yokum and Friskel Chapel in Iola.
Burial will be at Geneva Cemetery, northwest of Iola...3
