Donald Van Wie of Scotia; and one great-grandson, Larry David Clay of Buffalo.16

Mabee of 301 First street, Scotia, a past councillor of the Daughters of America, died Saturday at St. Clare's Hospital following a two-week illness. She was 70.
Mrs. Mabee, the former Ella A. Weatherwax, was born In Glenville and had lived in Scotia for the past 40 years.
Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. at the Mabee and Earning funeral home, Scotia, by Rev. Ernest Tripp, pastor of the Scotia Methodist Church. Burial will bo at Park cemetery, Scotia. The funeral home will be open tonight after 7 o'clock.
Mrs. Mabee was a member of Glen Council, Daughters of America; Palm Rebekah Lodge, Glenridge Grange and the Scotia Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth Vincent of East Glenville and Mrs. Arden Heath of Scotia; a brother, Seymour Weatherwax of Charles City, Iowa; two grandchildren, Mrs. Charles Clay of Buffalo and Mrs. Donald Van Wie of Ballston Lake; a great-grandson, Larry Clay of Buffalo; a great-granddaughter, Brenda Van Wie of Ballston Lake; and a number of nieces and nephews.17 
Death*22 June 1959 Louis Vrooman Mabee died on 22 June 1959 at Amsterdam, Montgomery County, New York, at age 80.18,19

The funeral will be held Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at the Mabee and Berning funeral home, Scotia.20

Mr. Vincent was a member of East Glenville fire department; the United Commercial Travelers and Glenville Republican club. He was a Republican committeeman for district 17 and was a past master of Glenridge Grange.
Survivors Include his wife, Mrs. Ethel M. Mabee Vincent; a daughter. Mrs. Donald Van Wie of Jonesville; a sister, Mrs. Alfred Livingston, and a brother, Charles Vincent, both of Schenectady; three other brothers, Leland Vincent of Albany, Harold Vincent of Tucson, Ariz., and Roy Vincent of Scotia; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Vincent is survived by the daughter, Mrs. Donald Van Wie of Vacaville; a sister, Mrs. Arden Heath of Amsterdam; three grandchildren; one niece; and several cousins.
The funeral will be held at the Mabee Berning funeral home, Scotia, at 2 p.m. Sunday. Rev. Walter C. Kessler, pastor of the Burnt Hills Methodist Church, will officiate. The funeral home will be open after 7 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Park cemetery, Scotia.13

The funeral will be held at the Mabee Berning funeral home, Scotia, at 2 p.m. Sunday. Rev. Walter C. Kessler, pastor of the Burnt Hills Methodist Church, will officiate. The funeral home will be open after 7 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Park cemetery, Scotia.11

Mabee of Mineville and William Mabee of Johnstown; two sisters, Mrs. Alfred (Eleanor) Baird of Ballston Spa and Edna Buchanan of Scotia; three grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Services will be 1! a.m. Thursday at the Kelly-Jewell Funeral Home, 8886 S. Seneca St, Weedsport. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Jordan. Friends may call at the funerral home from2 to4 and7 to 9 p m Wednesday.10

Approximately 100 relatives and friends attended. - Mr. and Mrs. Mabee were married March 6, 1907, by Rev Robert Rogers of the Glenville Reformed Church. Mrs. Mabee is the former Grace Gifford and was born in Glenville. Mr. Mabee was born in Albany county and worked as a market gardener for about 40 years.
Mrs. Mabee operates a poultry business in the Scotia area. The couple are members of the Glenville Center Methodist Church and of Glenridge Grange. Mrs. Mabee is also a member of the WSCS and of the "What-So-Ever" group of the church on 9 March 1957 at Schenectady, New York.8

oObitFebruary 1991  In February 1991 at Glenville Township, Schenectady County, New York, the obituary of Grace Matilda Gifford read: A service was held for Mrs. Grace Mabee, Holt Road, who died Thursday at home. Born in West Glenville, Mrs. Mabee attended two one-room schools, District 16 in West Glenville and Dist. 12 in East Glenvlle, graduating from the ninth grade. Working from her home, she made both men's and women's gloves for the former Myers Glove co., in (Johnstown?). Mrs. Mabee also made stitching on the covers on baseballs in Schenectady. From the family farm, she delivered fruits, vegetables, chickens and other goods by horse and buggy to merchants. Mrs. Mabee attended and taught Sunday School in West Glenville. After marriage she joined the Center Glenville Methodist Church where she was a member for 83 years. For many years Mrs. Mabee served as church secretary. A 63 year member of the Grange, Mrs. Mabee in 1927 helped organize the Charlton Farmers Grange. After that she helped the West Glenville and ? Granges. Mrs. Mabee served as chaplain of the Glenridge Grange for 20 years.9 
Burial* She was buried at First Reformed Dutch Churchyard, West Glenville, Schenectady County, New York.10

He retired in January after 40 years with the local company. He attended Scotia Methodist church. Besides his wife, Mrs. Emma D. Baker Mabee, he leaves a daughter, Mrs. Bruce Fuller; four sons, Henry, Frank, Orville and John B. Mabee; three brothers, Louis, Stephen and Delbert Mabee, and seven grandchildren, all of Scotia.9

Anecdote*11 April 1930 This was a two family house and John B, not Henry Mabee owned it. Henry and his family lived upstairs John and his remaining family lived downstairs. A couple of years later, brothers Frank and Henry started the funeral home downstairs there --- then in the 40's moved it to 1 Mohawk Ave. The grandparents, John and Emma, moved out and built a house at 25 and 27 Sacandaga Road.9

Mrs. Mabee was born in Altamont. She was employed in the mailing department of the General Electric Co. for the last 11 years and was a member of the Scotia Methodist Church, Palm Rbekah Lodge and Glenn Council, Daughters of America.
Survivors are her husband, Henry B. Mabee; two sons, Milton Mabee of Scotia and Richard Mabee of. Perth Amboy, NJ; two sisters, Mrs.,John Peer and Mrs. Henry King, both of Glenville, and three grandchildren.

Wednesday afternoon. The funeral will take place from the house at 2 o'clock. He was the son of John and Edna De. Mabee and is survived by two brothers and one sister. The boy was born in Scotia, February 28, 1901, and had always lived in Scotia. He attended the public schools, where he was popular among his playmates. He was a member of the Methodist Church and also attended the Sunday school. Friends may view the remains at the home tonight from 6 until 9 o'clock.3

(Witness) Anecdote11 April 1930 This was a two family house and John B, not Henry Mabee owned it. Henry and his family lived upstairs John and his remaining family lived downstairs. A couple of years later, brothers Frank and Henry started the funeral home downstairs there --- then in the 40's moved it to 1 Mohawk Ave. The grandparents, John and Emma, moved out and built a house at 25 and 27 Sacandaga Road.7

He retired in January after 40 years with the local company. He attended Scotia Methodist church. Besides his wife, Mrs. Emma D. Surviving are his wife, Margaret Fox Mabee, two sons. Donald E. Mabee of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Robert K. Mabee of Bridgeport, Conn. a daughter Mrs. Myrna Dunay of Scotia. Two brothers John Mabee of Scotia and Orville Mabee of Syracuse, a sister Mrs. Addie Pfeiffer of Scotia; 12 grandchildren and a great grandchild.12

(Witness) oObit8 February 1968 John William Mabee was mentioned in the obituary of James Edward Mabee on 8 February 1968 at Schenectady, New York; A Schenectady truck driver, James Mabee, 25, of 1859 Becker St., was killed early yesterday morning when the stake rack truck he was driving ran off the Thruway three miles west of Westmoreland and burst into flames.
State police said Mabee, a driver for McCormick's Highway. Transportation Inc., 151 Erie Blvd., was headed west when his vehicle left the Thruway on a left curve, plunged off the right shoulder of the highway and crashed down an embankment into several trees where it caught fire.
Mabee's burned body was removed from the wreckage about two hours after the accident
Funeral arrangements are being made by the victim's uncle directors of the Mabee Funeral Home;
A native of Schenectady, Mabee graduated from Scotia-Glenville High. School and served several years in the Air Force. He had been employed by the trucking firm for about four years.
His survivors include his wife, Mrs. Maycashion Mabee, and a one-year-old daughter, Cimmie Lee. Also surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Mabee; two brothers. John Mabee of Syracuse and Gary Mabee. stationed with the army in Fort Riley, Kan; and two sisters Mrs. Susan Smith of Sacramento, Calif., and Miss Sally Jean. Mabee of Scotia.12

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John W. Mabee of Cuthtert Street, Scotia, and the bridegroom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Ewart G. Smith of Delmar.
Escorted by her father, the bride was attended by Miss Sally Mabee, Miss Joyce Smith and Miss Janice Naples. Greg Rocha served as best man while Grant Preble and John Bush ushered the guests. A reception was held at the American Legion Post 1001, Scotia.
An alumna of Scotia-Glenville High School, the bride has been employed as a supervisor for Travelers Insurance Co., Albany. Lt. Smith was graduated from Kenmore West Senior High School, Buffalo, and Alleghany College, Pennsylvania. He is serving in the United States Air Force.

A lifelong resident of Scotia, Mr. Mabee was the director of the former Mabee and Healey, and Mabee Berning Funeral Homes at 1 Mohawk Ave. before his retirement.
He was a member of the Scotia United Methodist Church and the church of Worship commission. A member of the Scotia Kiwanis Club, her served as club secretary for more than 30 years.
Mabee was past president of the Gold and Silver Club and was a member of the board of directors. He was also vice president of the Scotia Relief Association.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret Fox Mabee, two sons. Donald E. Mabee of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Robert K. Mabee of Bridgeport, Conn. a daughter Mrs. Myrna Dunay of Scotia. Two brothers John Mabee of Scotia and Orville Mabee of Syracuse, a sister Mrs. Addie Pfeiffer of Scotia; 12 grandchildren and a great grandchild.15

Mrs. Muller wore a pink flowered-marquisette gown with matching Dutch cap and carried pink roses with blue Iris.

The Mabee and Berning funeral home, Scotia, will be open tomorrow after 7 p.m. and the funeral will be conducted there Sunday at 2 p.m. with Rev. P. A..C. Clarke of the Scotia Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Park cemetery, Scotia.
Mrs. Mabee was born in Altamont. She was employed in the mailing department of the General Electric Co. for the last 11 years and was a member of the Scotia Methodist Church, Palm Rbekah Lodge and Glenn Council, Daughters of America.
Survivors are her husband, Henry B. Mabee; two sons, Milton Mabee of Scotia and Richard Mabee of. Perth Amboy, NJ; two sisters, Mrs.,John Peer and Mrs. Henry King, both of Glenville, and three grandchildren.

A lifelong resident of Scotia, he. was a member of Scotia Methodist Church, a coach and member of the board of directors for Scotia Babe Ruth League, and active in three bowling leagues. He was employed as a clerk with Adirondack Electronics, Schenectady, more than 10 years.
Mr. Mabee Is survived by his widow, Ruth Knoll Mabee; four sons, Christopher, Michael, William and Timothy Mabee of Scotia; his father, Henry B. Mabee of Schenectady, and a brother, Richard Mabee of Whittier, Calif.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow in the Mabee & Berning funeral home by Rev. Roland Northrup of Scotia Methodist Church. The funeral home will be open tonight after 7. Burial will be in Park cemetery, Scotia.
