The double ring ceremony was performed and the bride was given in marriage by her father. Mrs. Paul Muller was matron of honor and Orville Mabee of Scotia, uncle of the bridegroom, was best man.
The bride wore a white embroidered marquisette gown and a long tulle veil which fell from a satin crown. Her long silk mits met the short sleeves of the gown, fashioned with tight fitting basque and full skirt with circular train. She carried a prayer book and a purple-throated white orchid.
Mrs. Muller wore a pink flowered-marquisette gown with matching Dutch cap and carried pink roses with blue Iris.

They were married until his passing on August 14, 1962. Ruth worked for Schenectady County Public Library from 1962 to 1983, then part time at the Scotia Library for many years. Ruth married, Horrace E. Mullins, in 1964, who passed in January 2000. She was predeceased by her husbands, Milton and Horrace. Survivors include her sons, Christopher (Linda) Mabee of Glenville, Michael (Colleen) Mabee of Bluffton, SC, William Mabee from Star Route and Timothy Mabee of Scotia; grandchildren, Jennifer (William) Purcell, Michael (Merissa) Mabee, Nicholas Mabee, Angela Mabee, Misty Mabee Morrison, Timothy Mabee, Chrissy Mabee and Mandy Mabee; great-grandchildren, Ava and Logan Purcell, Dylan Mabee, Kayla Tenace, Adrina Mabee, Cheyenne Morrison, Gracie Morrison, A.J. Morrison, Emmalee Morrison and Judah Waters. Graveside services will be private at the convenience of the family at Park Cemetery in Scotia.9

He is survived by his wife, Wanda C. Moraski; two sisters, Mrs. Arthur Buchanan and Mrs. Alfred H. Baird and three brothers, William S. Mabee, S. Leroy Mabee and Delbert Mabee.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at the Mabee and Berning funeral home. Scotia. The funeral home will be open tomorrow evening after 7 o'clock.8

Mabee of Bolt road, Glenville, held open house Wednesday in observance of their 50th wedding anniversary. Two nieces, Mrs. Wanda Mabee and Mrs. Thomas Irwin, were hostesses for the open house.
Approximately 100 relatives and friends attended. - Mr. and Mrs. Mabee were married March 6, 1907, by Rev Robert Rogers of the Glenville Reformed Church. Mrs. Mabee is the former Grace Gifford and was born in Glenville. Mr. Mabee was born in Albany county and worked as a market gardener for about 40 years.
Mrs. Mabee operates a poultry business in the Scotia area. The couple are members of the Glenville Center Methodist Church and of Glenridge Grange. Mrs. Mabee is also a member of the WSCS and of the "What-So-Ever" group of the church on 9 March 1957 at Schenectady, New York.9

Roy farmed in the Kennan area, worked at a ranch in Montana, at a factory in Detroit and logged in Ely, Minn. He moved back to Kennan in 1963 to work at Prentice Hydraulics, and later Blount, retiring in 1985. He moved to Rusk County in 1979.
He married Eva Cornwell in Kennan in January 1948. They later divorced. He married Kathryn Willis in Phillips in January 1979. She survives.
Roy liked outdoor activities. He was a member of Hawkins United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife Kathryn; his sons Gary (Linda) of Kennan, Wayne (Peg) of Hawkins, Kenneth of Kennan, and Lon (Beth) of Milwaukee; his step-daughters Karen Mandell and Marsha (Bill) Martinson; nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; and his brother Donald (Gladys) of Catawba.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his step-daughter Joyce Karpalo; his brothers Geoge, Arnold and Raymond; and his sister Jul Mocello.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 10, at 11 a.m. at the Hawkins United Methodist Church with Rev. Loretta Waughtal officiating. Burial in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Hawkins.
The Mabie family will receive friends on Monday after 4 p.m. at the Nash-Jackan Funeral Home in Ladysmith and at the church on Tuesday for an hour prior to service time.8

Don was born in Kennan on April 14, 1926, to Alonzo Smith Mabie and Emma Schwiega. He served his country in the US Army during World War II and became a proud member of Kennan Legion Post #362, where he served for 67 years. He held numerous offices over the years, including that of Post Commander.
He took great pleasure serving his community, whether it was being on the fire department, serving in town committees or flipping pancakes for a fundraiser.
Don married Gladys Cornwell on January 16, 1954, at the Kennan Methodist Church. This wonderful union lasted nearly 60 years. They raised two children, Edward and Susan, on their family farm in Kennan.
He was the head carpenter for Kennan Lumber Company for 37 years and built many homes and pole buildings, including his own home. After retiring, Don continued to do carpenter projects, help with their home-based wreath factory and with the children who came to their home for daycare. Many still call him Grandpa Don.
Don is survived by his wife, Gladys; son, Ed (Arlene) of Kennan, daughter, Sue of Cottage Grove, MN; grandchildren: Sherri, Jeremiah (Jessie), Quentin and Rory; great-grandchildren: Kyle, Katie, Jayden, Jasmine, Joelle, Stuart and Ellenore; and very special extended family, Gary, Leanne, Garrett and Aubrey Edinger. He is also survived by many other family members, sisters- and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death are his parents; sister, Julie; brothers, George, Ray, Roy and Arnold; and granddaughter, Nicole.
Funeral services with military honors will be Saturday, Sept. 7, in Catawba at Bethany Lutheran Church, with Pastor Jody Becker officiating. Services are at 11 a.m., visitation is from 9 a.m. until the time of service.7 
Burial He was buried at Kennan Cemetery, Kennan, Price County, Wisconsin.10
