Funeral services for Mrs Mabee will be held at her residence in Deer Creek at1 pm Friday and at 1:30 pm Friday at Deer Creek Baptist church. The Rev J Huber Dixon will officiate. Burial will be I Mt Zion cemetery.
Surviving are the following sons and daughters: Mrs Carrie Kennedy, Deer Creek; William E. Mabee, Rockford; Clarence M, Peoria; Eugene R, Deer Creek; Chester P and Stanley D, both of East Peoria; Mrs Luna Miller, Deer Creek; Theodore of Mackinaw; and Miss Ruth Mabee of Jacksonville, 17 grandchildren and 20 grear grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife; a son Robert, Byron Center, Mich; two sisters, Mrs Launa Miller, Goleta, Calif, and Miss Ruth, East Peoria; five brothers, William E, Showlow, Ariz; Clarence M, Peoria; Theodore, Pekin; Chester P and Stanley D, both of East Pretoria; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A sister and a brother preceded him in death.
He was employed by Memorial Consultants, Peoria for 14 years befor retiring in 1966.
He was a member of the Christian Church and Taylor Masonic Lodge, both in Washington. Memorials may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Fund.14

oObit*  The obituary of Thomas William Mabee Jr. read: Thomas Mabee, Jr., PhD., 76, of St. Petersburg, FL, passed away on July 28, 2020 surrounded by loved ones. He was born in Peoria, IL, to the late Thomas Mabee and Florence Mabee. Tom shared a happy childhood with his siblings, sister Mary (Cunningham), and brothers John and David Mabee who all still reside in Peoria, IL. Tom attended Woodruff High School. He subsequently joined the Marine Corps where he was known as a sharpshooter. Later, he served in the Marine Reserves. After working in several factory jobs, he went on to pursue his education at Illinois Central College and Illinois State University earning a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Masters degree in School Psychology which launched his professional career in this field. Several years later after moving to St. Petersburg in 1981, Tom attended Florida State University where he proudly earned a PhD. in Counseling Psychology specializing in Marriage and Family psychotherapy. Dr. Tom (Retired) went on to establish a successful Private Practice in St. Petersburg where he helped many for over 30 years. Dr. Tom (Retired) also enjoyed being an Adjunct Professor for 28 years for the Mental Health Counseling Program at Nova SE University where he was held in esteem by both colleagues and his students.
Tom is predeceased by his stepdaughter, Rebecca Pratt, and leaves behind many valued nieces and nephews. He is survived by his devoted wife, Frances Mabee and his granddaughter, Jillian Pratt, who was the daughter he always wanted. He was a beloved husband and Papa. His family shared a very close and special bond. In addition, Tom's friends were dear to him and he enjoyed staying in touch with them. Tom was a long standing avid chess player, scholar and artist. He enjoyed sipping wine in the evening, listening to music and sketching with his precious kitties by his side.
Tom will be remembered by many for his wisdom, deep compassion, playful sense of humor, kindness, and sunny disposition. He will be sorely missed.
Due to the COVID-19, a private Celebration of Life service will be held. Per his request, Tom's ashes will be scattered by loved ones.

Funeral services for Mrs Mabee will be held at her residence in Deer Creek at1 pm Friday and at 1:30 pm Friday at Deer Creek Baptist church. The Rev J Huber Dixon will officiate. Burial will be I Mt Zion cemetery.
Surviving are the following sons and daughters: Mrs Carrie Kennedy, Deer Creek; William E. Mabee, Rockford; Clarence M, Peoria; Eugene R, Deer Creek; Chester P and Stanley D, both of East Peoria; Mrs Luna Miller, Deer Creek; Theodore of Mackinaw; and Miss Ruth Mabee of Jacksonville, 17 grandchildren and 20 grear grandchildren.

Mr Mabee, who had lived in the Mackinaw area since 1938, was a retired electrician and a member of Local 314 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He was employed by the Pekin Abstract & Title Co.
He was a member of the Deer Creek Baptist Church.14

Surviving are her husband; three sons, Mark (Rona) Rassi of Fort Myers, Fla., Brad Rassi of Albany, Ore., and Eric Alan Rassi of Peoria Heights; one daughter, Christine (Larry) Nailon of Peoria; eight grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and one sister, Kay (Jose) Sosa of San Antonio, Texas.
Rassi was a beautician for more than 30 years, retiring in April 2005. She owned and operated The Fashion Center. She previously decorated and sold cakes.
She attended Deer Creek Baptist Church.
She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5921 Auxiliary in Morton. She was a Cub Scout and Girl Scout leader.2
