She was aged 82 years and the last member of her immediate family. Her husband was a brother of the late Mrs Peter Van Bebber and Frank Mabie of this city.
Surviving are her sons, Irving Mabie, manager of a bank in Los Gatos; and Wayne Mabie of San Jose. A son Carl Mabie, postmaster in Redwood City died some time ago. She was an aunt of Park and George W Van Bebber and the late Fred Van Bebber of this city. Surviving are 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Mr and Mrs G W Van Bebber attended the funeral which took place on Monday in Los Gatos.6

She was in her fifty-seventh year. Mrs. Mabie is survived, besides her husband, by one son, Martin B. Mabie, and two grandchildren, the Misses Harriet and Margaret Mabie. Mrs. Mabie was the daughter of George and Harriet Bloy of Brooklyn The funeral was held at the family home, 1 Brookside avenue, this afternoon, the Rev. E. Jay Teagarden, pastor of the Church of Christ. Officiating. The interment was in Wooster Cemetery at at Danbury.8

Was a summer resident of East Northfield 25 years and was identified with religious work here, being one of the important speakers at the conferences each year. He also had been interested in much of the work of the town. Mr Mabie was a graduate of a theological seminary in Chicago and was pastor of several churches in the middle West. He was a prominent official of the American Baptist Missionary union and was sent out by the union in 1907 to Asia, visiting their mission stations in Japan and China. He represented the union at the Morgan cemetery in Shanghai.
Dr Mabie married Miss Edith Roe 48 years ago. She survives with five children, Rev. Harry F. Mabie of Bluefield W. Va., Mrs J. H. Weld of Rosindale, Mrs G. A. Morse of Melrose, Roe Mabie, an art student is in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Ruth Mabie, who is on the editorial staff of a newspaper in Bridgeport, Conn. He also leaves two sisters, Mrs F. M. Chamberlain of South Dakota and Mrs H. M. Steadler of East Northfield.
Mrs Steadler and daughter, Edith, left today to attend the funeral, which will be held in the home in Roslindale Thursday.4
