Mabee, well-known physician of Vittoria, Ont. The late Dr Mabee, who was in his 57th year, was a native of Vittoria, but had practiced medicine in the United States for many years. Since his return to his home town in recent years he had been head of the Mabee Patents Corporation. Surviving are his wife and three brothers, Dr. A. H. Mabee, Gananoque; Dr. Lew Mabee, Goderich, and Fred C Mabee, Harrisburg, West Virginia. The remains were taken to Simcoe.12 |

oObit* | 18 May 1910 | On 18 May 1910 the obituary of Robert Young Mabee read: The late Mr. Robert Young Mabee, whose death, at the age of 59, is announced as having occurred at Magrath, Alberta, was for many years engaged as grain merchant in Vittoria, and moved to Toronto about four years ago. His family was among the first to settle in Norfolk County, where Mr. Mabee himself was born A few weeks ago he left Toronto with his son, Ernest, to pay a visit to another son, Mr. R. S. Mabee, of Magrath, Alberta, and while there was taken ill. At the same time a telegraphic message was sent to Mr. Ernest Mabee, recalling him on account of the illness of a daughter, while Dr. Oliver Mabee, another son, went out to look after, and was with him when he died. Besides the three sons mentioned, three daughters and Mrs. Mabee survive. Mrs. Mabee was Miss Elonora Raymond, of Vittoria, when she married Mr. Mabee. The funeral took place in Toronto on Saturday afternoon.14 |

The family lived in South Bethlehem, N.Y. for over 40 years. In 2000, Florence and Newman moved to Michigan to be near family. After her husband passed away in 2002, Florence moved to Williamstown to live with her son and daughter-in-law, Gregg and Debbie. Florence was a member of the Red Hat Society, and enjoyed visiting Saratoga. She was an accomplished knitter and enjoyed knitting baby caps for the newborns in the local hospitals. Florence A. She was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa on June 21, 1913 and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. She was preceded in death by her husband Earl R. Allyn and her daughter Suzanne M. Allyn. She is survived by her daughter, Penny and son-in-law John Hickey, Jr. Darline had seven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and one little great-great-granddaughter. Darline was a graduate of the Dansville General Hospital School of Nursing, Dansville, NY in 1937. As an RN, she worked in Dansville, Kingston, and Long Island, NY liberally administering her TLC. Her husband was a Boy Scout Executive and his work eventually brought him to Atlantic City, NJ. They resided in Northfield, NJ until a few years after his death when she moved to be near Suzanne in Vineland, NJ. After Suzanne's death, she moved to Carlisle, PA to be near Penny and John. Her great joy was to receive news of the family. She would always start out a visit by saying "What's new with the kids?" There will be a viewing 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Malpezzi Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg, PA with the recitation of the rosary at 7:45 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 3, 2013 at St. Patrick's Shrine Church, 152 E. Pomfret St., Carlisle, PA.2 |

She lived in Thornbury Township, Delaware County. A member of the Concord Friends Meeting, Mrs Edwards was active in the Yearly Meeting in Philadelphia, the Youth Advocate Program and the Friends uburban Project in Concordville. Mrs Edwards, who was born in China, was graduated from Denison University in Granville, Ohio, and received her master's degree in religious education from Columbia University in New York. She was a charter member of the YWCA of West Chester and was its first executive secretary. She also worked with the YWCA in Wilmington and with the Ys in Frankford and Coatesville. Mrs Edwards was a member ofthe Women's International League for Peace and Freedom. She was active in the Human Relations Council of West Chester and visited prisons as a volunteer with the Pennsylvania Prisons Society. She worked with the Hospice of Chester County and with the U.S.-China Peoples Friendship Association. She was a member of the Delaware Council on Crime and Justice and the American Civil Liberties Union. Surviving are her husband, Charles D Edwards; two daughters, Judith B. Forbes and Sally B; a son David and a grandson. A memorial service will be held at 2 pm Saturday at the Concord Friends Meeting House, Concordville.11 |
