The family will receive friends and relatives at the Tompkins Funeral Home, 63 Garden Street, Gananoque on Wednesday, July 19 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Cremation will follow. A memorial service will take place in Brampton, Ontario at a later date for friends to share fond memories of a life that was cut too short. Pat is survived by Nana Noreen Mabee, Mom and Dad Judy and Darryl Mabee, brother Michael and Daniela Strum of Toronto, girlfriend Stephanie Mazzocca of Peterborough, uncle and aunt Peter and Barbara Mabee, cousin Nicholas, aunt and uncle Heather and Roger Pelow, cousins Matthew and Timothy as well as many second cousins and relatives of the Gee and Salmon families. Patrick will join Papa John Mabee, Grandpa Chuck and Grandma Flo Gee. He is sadly missed. In lieu of flowers donations made to the World Wildlife Foundation c/o P.O. Deceased was born in New York State, lived in West Oxford for 53 years. but had been living with her daughter for the past seven months in Michigan., where her death occurred. oObit | 3 August 1911 | On 3 August 1911 at Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, the obituary of Levi Mabee read: ANOTHER PIONEER CALLED Mr. Levi Mabee Passes Over to the Majority. The funeral of the late Levi Mabee, one of Winnipeg's old timers, took place Monday afternoon to St. John's cemetery. Mr. Mabee was the eldest son of W. B. Mabee, of West Oxford, Ont. He was associated with his father for many years in agricultural, lumbering and milling industries. Later he moved to Seaforth, county of Huron, where he carried on a similar line of business, coming to Winnipeg in the early eighties, where he spent the remaining years of his life, with the exception of four or five years in British Columbia. In the early days Mr. Mabee carried on a wood and coal business in the city representing the one time the Pioneer Fuel Company of the south. He was a charter member of the First A. O. U. W. lodge instituted in the city, he was a Baptist, being connected with the Logan Avenue Baptist church during all the years of Its existence. He leaves to survive him a wife and four daughters, Miss Mabee and Mrs. J. F. McIntyre of Wlnnlpeg; Mrs. B. F. Hills of Cleveland, Ohio, and Mrs. W. D. Scott, of Neepawa, Manitoba.13 |
