Of these George, John and William Mabey survive their sister—one brother, Samuel of Ithaca and two sisters, Mary (Mrs. Vincent) and Lucy (Mrs. Hicks) having preceded her in death. Mrs. Wood was born near Ithaca, Nov. 25, 1843. In young womanhood she came with her parents into this community where, with the exception of four years in her early married life spent in Bradford, Pa., she passed the remainder of her life. On April 28, 1863 she vas married to Halsey S. Wood, who died Oct. 11, 1906. Their home was blessed with one daughter, Belle, now Mrs. Linus French of Cuba, and a foster son, George Wood, whom they took at the age of 20 months. Her love for her family, her life consecration, not only to their happiness but others', remain sweet and tender in the hearts of those who knew her best.
